  • The Renegade by Hover 1 is a 900w powerhouse! even with all my gear and myself it never fails to give enough power. I do some solar charging with the Jackery 300 as well!

    Does this scooter have a Companion app?

      It does not. Would be nice to have some more data! Some places may say it's bluetooth capable, which is just a speaker located in the deck.

      Thanks for answering me. I have read that the deck protector is a piece of sand paper that comes off easily. I've even seen some photos that look like this Sand Paper has air bubbles. Is that true? @@InTECHsity

    Again, nice video. One last question: does this scooter have any certification? Which scooter would you recommend between the Hover-1 Renegade and the Isinwheel S10 Max? Thanks👍🏻

    • @InTECHsity
      @InTECHsity  Před 16 dny +2

      I couldn't find anything on certifications other than what may be necessary for sale in the US. Neither looks like they are waterproof.
      It's nice that the S10 Max has the app support, along with a ton of other creature comforts. I like the handlebar blinkers and it looks awesome!
      For the price, the S10 Max has 100w more power than the Renegade. It also has much better suspension and offroad tires. So if its just pure performance and getting the best scooter, the S10 Max is definitely the way to go.
      However, if you are willing to forgo all the nice creature comforts and the extra 100w, for almost half the price the Renegade could be yours! It is definitely no as flashy but the dual wheel drive would be one advantage over the S10 Max.
      All in all, If money is no object, definitely go for the S10 Max. Or you can get the renegade and spend the extra $350 on some camera gear! You may be able to wait and watch amazon... a lot of times the scooters will just be mega discounted one day. Also, check out the S10 Plus, good compromise.

      @@InTECHsity Thank you for the update. I currently have a GoPro Hero 12 Black, a Canon V10 PowerShot and a DJI Solo Pocket 3. I think the S10 Max is the best option. Although I would like to ask you one last thing: What can you say about Hover-1 Stealth E-Scooter? I can't find enough information about this scooter. Only what is posted on Amazon and on the Hover-1 site. Thanks in advance. New follower here.

      @shotbymarlozan I appreciate the engagement! Pocket 3 looks so tempting! That low light capability would be great. But as far as the Stealth, kind of an interesting frame design, and it would be nice to have the removable battery so you could bring the only battery with you for charging. But at that price, and only 500w, I would only pay maybe $300, simply because the Renegade is $400.
      I would check out The Inmotion Climber ( amzn.to/3YUQ7Jg ). Ever since I got the Renegade, I figured this is the very polished, very nice alternative with the same format. It's dual wheel drive, 1500w, and I can only assume one thrilling ride. And it's $300 off!

      @@InTECHsity Currently, I have a balance on Amazon and the Hover-1 Stealth costs me $389. What do you think about it?

    • @InTECHsity
      @InTECHsity  Před 16 dny

      @shotbymarlozan I'd say Stealth only if you were getting it for the removable battery or lighter weight. Otherwise I'd go the extra $10 and get the Renegade or something else altogether. It's a tough decision with so many brands and models!

    What mode did you drive in ? Seems nice with all the gear/weight on you.

    • @InTECHsity
      @InTECHsity  Před rokem +4

      I drive it in sport 2wd mode. Each motor is 450w peak, so unless low battery, it's got a lot of torque! Great for hills.

      Has had a flat tire since I commented. I replaced one tube and it was a pain changing the tube. Also the price dropped from almost $1,000 to $300. I personally love this scooter so I will figure/fix it . I bought a Ninebot Maxx g2 and I still would rather ride the Renegade. Dual motor is the best scooters. Your vid is just like what me or my friends would do any givin sunday

      I totally agree!!! An insanely good deal for $300. I'm in Detroit right now and renting the lime scooters really solidifies how great the dual wheel drive is.

    The hover-1 website doesnot have contact customer support option. Do you think this scooter is worth it instead of turboant V-8? The main question is is it worth it for 400 dollars. Also does it have lock system inbuilt ?

    • @InTECHsity
      @InTECHsity  Před 8 měsíci +2

      Good question! As far as hover 1 and the customer support. I was somehow able to find support@hover-1.com and have used that to get service. The renegade originally failed with an error code, and even a month or so out of warranty, they sent a brand new renegade, which shocked me. Who knows if that's always the case, but I was amazed! And there is no locking system, just a button to hold for on and off.
      The turboant v8 does look super cool! Definitely better range with that unique battery setup. I love that you can charge both batteries at once to get back riding faster. It has half the rated power though (450w vs. 900w), so if you're on the heavier side like I am, it may feel sluggish and unable to climb some hills.
      I love that the renegade has dual motors for twice the traction up dirt hills.
      I think all in all I would choose the renegade if you can get it at the $400 price, which it looks like you can. You would save $200 and it would be better accelerating and carrying uphill.
      If they were the same price I think the turboant would be a slightly better deal.... but for me I would choose the renegade simply because of its power. I love to ride forest trails and go up hills. Even with 275lbs (myself and gear), there is always enough power to make it happen.
      Shopping for scooters is so tough with all the options!! At least for me, the hover 1 experience has been great, albeit with minor repairs. Them sending a replacement scooter pushed me to the point where I am super satisfied with the purchase.
      I found it useful to periodically see what scooters are on sale on amazon, routinely they will be ~50% off for a while, then back to full price.
      Any other questions, I am here for you!

      @@InTECHsity I am so confused its been days and i have not received an reply from them yet. Scooter specs seems decent but review on amazon tells a bad story about this scooter. If I could cancel i would buy hiboy max for same price. What do you have to say?

    • @thetds101
      @thetds101 Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@lilchamp7 I had the Hiboy Max, and I'm 245lbs. It was terrible going up small hills, and the battery shut off at around the 8-mile mark (8.1 miles to be exact). This sounds like the better scooter for range, even though the speed maxes at around 18 mph (the Hiboy Max tops at about 22 mph).

    • @lilchamp7

      @@lilchamp7 did you ever hear back??? curious how this works out. Also, the Inmotion Climber is pricey, but id like to think that if the renegade was done with more finesse, the climber would be the end result. $800 but i bet that ride is amazing!
