Lucerne is not a place most tourists put at the top of their bucket list, but let me assure you, it is one of the most rewarding destinations I've visited in Europe. Lucerne has plenty or attractions and fun activities to offer and can be easily explored within 2 days. I brought my brother Hugo along on this magical adventure through Switzerland.

Start off your Lucerne adventure in the heart of city on the banks of river reuss which splits the city in two parts, the old and the new part connected by the famous bridges Chapel Bridge and Mill Bridge (Spreuerbrucke) with the iconic Jesuit church, founded in 1666.
Most tourists stick to the oldtown and primarily use Lucerne as a transfer hub to the Alps, but when you dig a bit deeper you'll find gems like the Swiss Transport Museum, houses the biggest Space museum in Europe complete with Mars rovers and a gravity transformer. My favorite exhibit was the massive pile of Swiss road sighs on their court yard.
According to the locals, a day trip to Mount Rigi is actually more rewarding than Mount Pilatus for its wide-stretched 360 views of Central Switzerland. At the peak you have a clear view of 125 Alpine peaks and 13 lakes. Get there by ferry and the classic Vitznau cogwheel train, the oldest mountain railway in Europe.
Do not underestimate Lucerne, it has an incredible nightlife scene considered second to Zurich, which is Switzerland best. Great places for a drink include the Black Sheep, Roadhouse bar and Penthouse for its large dancefloor and great views of the Lucerne skyline. If you rather prefer something high-class and low-key visit the Grand Casino of Lucerne for a few bets. The casino even has a giant nightclub right next to it.
In conclusion, Lucerne is a very cozy town with a ton of fun attractions to easily keep you occupied for a couple of days. If you come during winter, consider adding Mount Titlis to your bucket list if you want some proper skiing or snowboarding. Located in Engelberg, less than an hour train ride from Lucerne. Go watch my complete travel guide on Engelberg. Also, do not forget to purchase the Swiss Travel Railway Pass which will save you a ton of money on transportation for boats, buses, trains, cable cars and 480 museums. Worth every penny!

Hi,
So I'm on my last day here after a couple.of days stay.
What can I say.
Wow, thank you for this amazing video. I went to tibits, Heini, Au Cachet, Pfistern, the covered walkways. The Lion monument.
So much more to see and so many reasons to return, which I hope to do.
Thanks for a great video.
Im from lucerne. This video is great! Well done 👌
Wow, thank you. Coming from Lucerne, that means a lot 😊
I‘m from lucerne too and the only thing I‘d change in the video would be the Carneval Part... I would really reccommend the big carneval in the city and not just the Pre Parties ☺️
Me too☺️.
There are more good Pizza places such as Weisses Kreuz in the old town.
My favorite Thai Restaurant is Prik near the Inseli, best Pad Thai😋 for around 20Fr.
I missed the lovely Musegg wall in your video where you have a nice view over the city.
If you want to eat or drink cheap, buy drinks/beer at the supermarket and enjoy outside oder have a meal at Coop Restaurants where you get meals for under 15Fr.
u r blessed
l'm from iran
have a nice life there lucky guy
Me too
Thanks for this great video ...
I went here on a trip in high school but couldn't fully appreciate it at the time, being with a tour bus and having no freedom. Now I REALLY want to go again. Thanks for the awesome video, man!
Thanks Dustin!! You rock, Switzerland is totally worth another visit.
yesss! more Reformatt!!
I'll definitely add Switzerland to my list.
I truly recommend visiting Switzerland, it is one of the most rewarding destinations in Europe. Thanks again for watching my friend 😉
This is the most helpful vlog for a Lucerne trip. Thanks for all the info.
We will be there in 2 weeks so great tips we will be using!
Amazing! I hope you had a fun time in Lucerne
Very nice. Switzerland looks too good. Thanks a great video.
This travel guide is better than most i've seen on CZcams.
I really appreciate the fact that you think so. Thank you!
@@Reformatt Your guide is information and entertainment. Fun to watch. Most others are really boring.
Bro..!! I just love ur videos. The quality of videography is on a different level(F**kin amazing) would love to see more of switzerland. I hope u will upload more...CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT ONE
Thank you so much for your support!! Luckily, 3 more Swiss episodes are scheduled for release 😉
This seems to be a charming city, I hope I can visit it when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!
❤️ from the Philippines 🇵🇭 🇵🇭 🇵🇭

Thanks! Did you watch my other Switzerland episodes too?
I’m going to be there for college this fall and honestly I cannot wait!
Now I want go to Lucerne too...with your brother!
I am glad the video convinced you to visit Switzerland
This is a very underrated channel. Great video as always
Thank you for your support!!
Thank you for this!! I’m headed to Switzerland in April and I’m trying to plan. Lucerne looks beautiful!
how was your trip to Switzerland? 😊😊
Im also gonna start doing the eye roll when I have delicious food hehe , great video.
I have a CZcams channel about Switzerland 🇨🇭 and was going to cover Luzern, but I don’t think I can compete with this. You did a great job 👏 bravo
Wow thanks Jack 😎 perhaps cover other parts of Lucerne
Going to Lucerne next week. First post-pandemic travel. Can’t wait. Switzerland (among younger people) is so underrated. Also if you are from Ireland, Scandinavia or like London / Paris it’s actually not that crazy expensive. It’s expensive but mainly for evening meals but accom, supermarkets, coffee and (unlike it’s expensive EEA brother, Norway) beer are affordable if you don’t goto super tourist areas.
Another great video from the best travel vlogger!
You rock my friend for leaving such an awesome comment ☺️☺️
Great video, super high quality
More videos from Switzerland to come!!
Riding a sled down a mountain is super underrated.
It totally is. Do you have a favorite mountain in Switzerland to sled?
Great editing! Excellent job
Do you think so? I think my new Zermatt video is even better
Nice and informative ! Great job!
Wow thanks. Are you visiting Switzerland?
I'm so excited to go in August! You also have a really good narrating voice!
Wow thank I appreciate it. I just released new videos
Best Video Ever So satisfying 😆
So jealous of all the amazing places you visit! Can't wait for covid to be over so I can get to traveling again
It was amazing, this is episode 1 of 4 from Switzerland, more to come
How cool I just recognized myself in your Video💪🏻😂 good job Luzern is great!
Really? In which scene?
amazing
I am happy you think so 😊
Friendly people too 👍👍👍😎
Always
I live here and it's amazing
Considering moving there as well but i heard there are mostly swiss germans there and they are hard to connect with. i am wondering what is your experience?
Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm planning to visit in December and I got a lot of travel tips watching this video. 😊
I am so happy to hear that, how was your trip in December. Did you do most of the items from the video?
@@Reformatt oh it was cold and memorable experience. Landed in Geneva tour for a day then stayed in Zermatt. Definitely coming back to Switzerland.
@@shaig9340 that is great to hear!!
Im from Luzern too and i really liked your video very nice review
Wow thanks. I hope I did Lucerne justice
We loved Lucerne! (except for the price haha) Such a charming city. We had a whole incident (left a drone at the restaurant lol) but magically retrieved (someone turned it in)! Honestly not sure it would have happened anywhere else. Thanks for the great video!
Wow thanks. I am happy you like the video. Lucerne is a magical place indeed
Switzerland is so beautiful.😍😍😍We also visited Switzerland during Spring. ❤️We did a video of our visit as well. We stayed in the story book like city of Lucerne. The city is really amazing we can drink from any public fountain. We also went on a bus tour to Interlaken and Grindelwald to have the best view of the Swiss Alps. Its really very nice. Everything is so clean and laid back. Feels like we are in a movie scene. Every angle looks like a postcard. 😍😍😍
I'll check it out!
Switzerland literally my dream place to visit..seems like a picturesque place to relax and reset ..i could be there all now 😢
It is a dream, especially during the summer in Grindelwald. Worth visiting!
@@Reformatt fingers crossed we cross paths 😁😉
@@rockinrandy8910 you never know 😁

Luv you!!
Am in Bern under Community Biel Biel/Bienne but I will be moving to Lucerne very soon because I just love that place so much.
enjoyed Lucerne trip
It was an incredible adventure
Great video!
Thank you. I hope it was helpful for your trip to Switzerland
Didn't realize that for some people, Lucerne can be such a beautiful city.
There are many more things you can do in lucerne, in my opinion there are many things which should have been in the top 30 instead.
(Excuse my bad English)
Nice! Please let me know which places you recommend in Lucerne
Thank you 🙏
Bless you! Was this video helpful for your trip?
Die Rigi ist mein Lieblings Berg in der Schweiz - The Rigi is my favorite mountain in Switzerland
really? have you been to Titlis?
i live and work in lucerne. I've never been on the Titlis. That's a one goal!
I was on the Rigi 18 times last year.
Hey! I live in switzerland and i live in lucerne. I recommend you to visit "Montreux" the next time. Its like switzerlands little monaco.
You should have gone up to Pilatus too! Because it‘s like „our city mountain“ even tho it‘s technically not in Lucerne..😁 But a very nice video and I can confirm all you said (as a Luzerner“) 👍🏽
Keep up the good work.
Thanks Marvin! Nog 3 super vette afleveringen uit Zwitserland komen eraan
@@Reformatt Niceeee kijk er naar uit. 😏
you habe to go to baselstrasse! great view!
is that on the South or North side of Lucerne?
Amazing and packing my bags 😂
Soon my friend. Vaccine is around the corner.
It’s expensive but you won’t regret 🇨🇭🇨🇭👍👍👍
I agree, what is your favorite place in Lucerne?
yay !!!
Greetings from Zurich Switzerland🔥✌🏼
I love Zurich!!
@@Reformatt I'm glad to hear that!💪Zurich is Switzerland's Nightlife capital, but it's nothing for people who travel on a budget😅
As a Swiss I hope to find the time to explore my country while working 100 %.
Most beautiful country in the world
How many weeks off a year you got ?
Yo bro ..back with ma dream country great...❤️🇨🇭🥳
Thanks for watching, all 4 episodes from Switzerland are now live. Did you watch them all already? 😎😉
It's ur dream country then come to Switzerland and enjoy the Wunder full Country and Luzern🇨🇭🌞😍
Thank you for this useful and fun video. I'll be in Luzern soon. Did you have to book in advance any activity covered by the Swiss travel pass (e.g. Boat travel, Mount rigi)?
It is always helpful to book in advance. Did you enjoy your Switzerland trip?
I follow you from Honolulu HAWAII 🇺🇸. I have to tell you, your prices are pretty reasonable. Of course, I live in HAWAII 🤣😊😎🍍🏄🏼♂️🏖️🐠🌴🐳🚢🦋🐬🤪😂😅
That is amazing! I love Honolulu. A video from Honolulu I will release in a couple of months. Thank you for subbing
Hi new subscriber here and great video!
Wow thank you so much for subscribing. I hope you like my videos ☺️
Just came back from Switzerland, Lucerne is my favourite one yet :D hotel is literally in front of Chapel Bridge
That is a perfect location! What other places did you visit in Lucerne?
hi nice vlog
Thank you. Are you visiting Switzerland in the future?
just a little heads up, the Marroni can be bought in most bigger places in switzerland, BUT only during the fall and winter months since that's when they are harvested. It warms you up and has a nice taste with a little bit of sweetness.
But basically, don't expect to see them during the Spring or Summer.
True, this video is meant for winter in Switzerland. Hopefully travel can resume in February, so these are some great suggestions for winter travel.
@@Reformatt Yeah, i just wanted to let people know that, while it's street food, it's only seasonal.
@@Reformatt Also have you visited Winterthur as well, maybe not as popular as Zürich, but it is an equally important city for the country and has many interesting places.
I can see mount Rigi when I step out on my balcony.
You are very lucky
I have a feeling that this guy has been everyhwere and tried out everything 😄
hi- great video! which month were you there?
This was recorded in late January
I am going thru if mid to late February, do you have any recommendations for warm weather gear.
Just a light jacket should be enough. Henny Hensen has good ones
16:30 Dude of course train tickets are expensive when travelling first class! But there's really no need for that, since also second class is very comfortable!
(Although to be fair, even second class tickets aren't exactly cheap)
Dear Brother,
Thank you very much for your nice and fàntastic video.
Please show the inmates of nightclubs on the day of your shoot
in greater details with more camera time on nice babes and nice drinks.
Keep uploading many more such videos regularly and stay blessed !
With lots of love and regards,
Jayanta Jit Hazarika,
2/11/2021
Many videos are now being uploaded. Please enjoy
I have a job interview there next week. I hope I get it! I’d love to live in Switzerland
Did you end up in Switzerland for your job?
@@Reformatt yes I did. I got the job, moved there, achieved the work objective, but then decided to move back to Germany after 10 months. I didn’t like living there as much as I thought… and the job was very stressful, so after I achieved the objective they hired me for, I decided to go back to Berlin where life is a little bit easier. The Swiss in Luzern don’t have the most open culture to be honest with you… If I had an EU passport, it would make things much easier. Next time, if I live in Switzerland again, (which I hope I do someday), then I will not live inside the city center, but somewhere on the outskirts or in the countryside for a calmer, cheaper life.
@@1234jajadingdong still awesome that you at least tried. I admire that
@@Reformatt I’ve lived and worked long term in 5 countries so far. It’s very difficult… but it’s made me a more well rounded, well traveled, and open minded person then I ever could have been otherwise.
That red tartar sauce...i cannot find it on google can you help me please?
Must be unique, a reason to visit Lucerne
Schugufascht - is it there in june?
I believe it was only in late January
OMG I haven't been there a while. Now with COVID... I can't fly!!!!!!!!
soon my friend, soon borders will open again and you'll be able to visit Switzerland :)
hi in mount rigi which month started snow😊
Most of the winter October to March
Foreign trainspotters: how many trains go in and out if lucerne

Yes best chocolate
Those fountains are drinkable water 💦
Hi which month is this?
This was mid-January, a bit cold, but a great time if you are planning on snowboarding in Switzerland
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Awesome thanks! Did you visit?
15:52 Not everything is High quality when expensive
That is a fair statement
Btw i was in Lucerne today no masks and no distancing. Also you should take the Lake Boat and visit the Verkehrsmuseum.
Each to their own but i see much alcohol in this episode.🍺🍻
Wow, you did. Good to know. Is travelling from North America possible yet? Also, thanks for the tip regarding the lake boat to the verkehrshaus
cherry schnapps into tea not in coffe!
my bad, thanks for telling me
Hello
I want to give you a tip. You have to go to the Mall of Switzerland in Ebikon. Ebikon is next to Lucerne.
It's very beautiful there and it's the second biggest shopping center in Switzerland.
why go to a shopping mall? isn't it more fun to go to Mount Rigi?
@@Reformatt Yes sure, but you have to see it. With train Buchrain and with bus Ebikon, Fildern
But when you live next to Lucerne and to the mount Rigi, you have seen it alot. Then you can go shopping in the Mall of Switzerland.
Video
Ayo why didnt you tell me you were in switzerland? I live in lucerne
whats real italian pizza?
Apa este POTABILA la robinet.
I don't understand
The "geschnetzeltes Kalbfleisch" is actually called "Züri Gschnätzlets".
But because people from Lucerne have an inferiority complex, they pretend that Zurich doesn’t exist and call it "geschnetzeltes Kalbfleisch".
I did not know that. Thanks 👍
Hit me up when u back. Lets do some foodrelated, scenery and party damage.... you are more then welcome
110%
I dont like the look of it,it seems very dry in feel and ive seen things about their love of creating laws and then of course Davos hosts the worlds rich that create more trouble once every year so Im not keen.theres a few troubling things there. that i can see, like a secret society but great video as always.
Your friend looks very drunken
That is my actual brother lol
