this is a great investment! one thing you forgot to show is the silent mode alert. I caught someone in the act of trying to steal parts from my bike, he had no clue I was notified.

Seriously, thanks for this review. I was on the fence about dropping the money for this system, but after seeing this, I had no problem buying it. I installed the system a couple of days on my R6 (EXTREMELY easy. btw) and so far, I love it. Scorpio should cut you an advertising check haha.
foxsoldier151 I'm also buying one because of this video. I actually saw this years before I even had a bike and just found it again. I've been having people leave me notes for parking my bike in car sized parking spots and stealing my parking permits so this should keep them away hopefully

Nope, but I got an 06 gsxr 6 and put the scorpio alarm on it and have theft insurance as well as a huge $150 chain I lock the swingarm up with now. I'll have a gun to the fuckers head by the time he pulls out a grinder, because that's what they will need.
Had mine for over 5 years, more then worth the cost. Install was a straight plug in.
Just wish the remote held the charge longer. Had to replace the remote.

thanks for the good video. I'm sold on this unit. I think I am going to pass on the kill switch though. If the thief wants to start messing with my electrical system to hotwire the bike then I'd rather at that point getting a new from insurance lol.

Great video I have a couple questions tho
1. When the alarm goes off does it distinguish between what set it off like either somebody leaned it up right off the kickstand or got to close. Or is it just one general alarm notification. And
2. (Motion sensor) Does the alarm keep ringing until you manually press a button to cut it off (alarm on the bike and remote) or does the alarm on the bike/remote just stop ringing once the individual has moved away from the bike.

This helped me a lot, though! I'm going to be getting a bike soon and I know the area my college is in is a very theft-heavy area as far as motorcycles go, so I'm going to be dishing out a lot of cold hard cash to keep my baby safe. I honestly didn't even know an alarm system like this existed. I'm grinning ear to ear right now. So buying this shit.

Is there a way to quickly mute the alarm from the key fob, but not shut it off, if it goes off suddenly? I am worried it may blow up while I'm in a lecture one day and disturb the entire class. Especially in the area I mentioned in my other comment. I know this video was 2 years ago, but I thought I'd ask.

So with the proximity sensor, can it differentiate between people and cars? Do cars set off the alarm if they come to close? I don't wanna be in class and run out because a car parked next to me lol

No it does not differentiate. Yet alarm will set off if something comes to motorcycle really close. So if any car set off your alarm - chances are it had already hit your bike.

What is the range of the key fob reacting to someone messing with your bike?
dudes i had something similar but i had serious batery problems... has in always consuming the dam batery! How is it about battery consumption of the bike?
I ordered this not because I'm worried about people stealing my bike; but, as a way to keep people from touching it.
Probably a dumb question but, will the alarm still go off even after you remove the motorcycle battery? how do you completely just turn off the alarm?

I just got this alarm, when i set the proximity sensor on every 3 mins or so it chirp's 3 time's....do you know why this happen's....is it apart of it or do i have a prob ?

for the Scorpio SR-i900 you have to pay for the micro wave feature well it comes with the spy 5000 for 89 bucks on ebay
I have the same alarm system on my R1! The best i've ever used! But i lost the remote today! I have to unlock it with the secret code and then buy a new remote :-D great video!!

What if you decide to drive your car to work and leave bike home. Will the key chain alarm still go off and inform you of alerts even though it’s not in range of the bike?

What's the range for the remote? Which one do you think is better spy 5000 or this one?
I can park my bike near a walmarts entrance and get almost full reception until I get to the very back, then I lose it. So I would say a couple hundred feet. And the spy 5000 is a great alarm for its price. If you cant afford this, the spy would be my second choice.

i had like that before but the perimeter alarm doesn't get off always alarming even though there's no one approaching in my bike.
can i just turn on the vibration and tilt sensors ?.

Any way you can make it not blast all the different tones based on what you are enabling or disabling? That is an absolutely terrible idea to do that if someone is paying attention and knows what the tones mean.

out here in new york it takes literaly 6 to 10 seconds to steal a bike, any idea of a alarm/ GPS system that can track the bikes location once its stolen…. because out here they pick it up and throw it in a truck and its that easy..

No! The alarm itself is $250. The proximity sensor is $35, the ignition disable thing is $30, and the plug and play connector kits is $30.

For my proximity censor, it'll give a warning if someone walks passed but if someone stays there, the alarm won't sound off like yours does. What am I doing wrong?
The sensor triggers when theres movement. If someone walks next to it and freezes, the alarm wont trigger. It will begin to trigger again with the person starts to move. I was confused as well in the beginning.

No the fm sensor tells the system when it is near thats why he had it in his house far from the bike
How long does the battery last in the pager/remote? Harley sells one for their bikes too but the piece of shit last for 24 hours and you gotta recharge it or buy a new battery. I wish Compustar made them for motorcycles. My remote starter from them has killer range and the pager battery lasts over a month.

3-4 days? thats it? how am i supposed to get a charge when out touring? very very poor battery choice, this should last 6 month minimum. that is a deal breaker for me. thanks for pointing that out

No, thats what the ignition disable module is for. If you have that installed, there is no way it can be started without the key and disarming it first.

Thanks, It has enough reception for you to park your bike in front of a supermarket and you can shop inside with having full reception. I shop at walmart all the time and it works great. After that, you can lose signal.
