This man continues to put out top quality and informative content regarding the eskate world.
I'm riding a backfire G3 sincs February and went about 1500km far. Only fell once in the beginning and just feel so safe now. The flexy deck and big wheels are very forgiving. The real danger is that I am feeling too safe on my e board and underestimate the risk sometimes.
Its amazing about this last mile commuting device that anyone can understand it's technical part easily and manufactures also doing a great job for making this devices more affordable and customizable! I can feel the joy of riding it without even tried! I learnt so many things about E skateboard and i am really glad that following this channel such a longtime! Please keep doing and thanks again!
Your Ownboard Carbon AT video got me to buy an electric longboard. My mind was blown by how stable the board looked while you rode it in the rain. I've never been on any sort of board In my 30 years of life.. but now I ride everyday on my Carbon AT. About to get my 2nd board the Backfire Ranger X2 for the hub motors because they are quiet, powerful enough and keep the dirt out.. and for its flexible deck so I can chill out in comfort while riding over cracks in the pavement. Thanks for your awesome content!

I really like your videos, there´s many things I learnt with you already, but I would love to see one thing I dont see in many other channels. I´m the owner of a boosted Mini X (despite the end of the company, I got one board now) but I´m totally "noob" into skateboards or e-boards. I would love to see a video where you explain the basics for a guy who gets a board. The first steps like tight somethings or loose somethings, some explanations about bushings, trucks, bearings... so sorry for this request, but I think this information could be good for many others, besides me. Keep up the good work Daniel!!
Hey, Daniel, 62 years old here, and I bought my first electric board at age 59, that after not skating since the mid to late 1970's. I hope to be electric skate boarding as long as the good Lord gives me the skill to be able to ride!

What you can say about battery longevity: You will - at least - get 300 FULL cycles of charge from them. (a half charge is only a HALF cycle)
Then also: As bigger the battery is (as more parallel setups it has) the less stress is on the battery. That might bring up the cycles to even more (500-700). So in general: the bigger the battery, the longer the lifetime and range

They went bankrupt because they got taxed too much and didnt make enough money .
Be safe! I loved e longboarding. I did it for years without a fall, but when I went down in April I was so injured I had to get my shoulder replaced and am currently in physical therapy trying to get movement back.

About falling, it depends a lot on how you ride, I commute daily with my eskate and fall only once in 2years, and that fall was in the first weeks of owning a board. Also I dont go very fast (20kmh on average), even slower when it's raining. I did run off the board a few times but never fall since that first one. So if you are carful it is possible to not fall at all.
I fell off twice in the past 40 or so years, but I'm also strictly long board cruiser. As an E boarder using an H5 on 120 mm cloudwheels I average 25 kmh and feel completely safe on almost any surface. Still always looking for obsticles staying safe and having a blast. May not be a popular opinion but I'm always smoking weed when I board.
I've had front left wheel and its locking nut flying right off of my Zealot on my way home from work going downhill at high speed about last Saturday. Front axle on truck was destroyed and one of Zealous bearing flying right off into the distance and me slamming on the asphalt road hurting my right shoulder (might have tore a ligament), scrapping upper lip and side of my face and my knee. I couldn't ride board since. Thankfully, Backfire is sending me replacement parts for my Zealot but all I can do is stare at the parts now sadly. Please make sure to check locking nuts and every screws possible every ride session, everyone.

One thing that could definitely be done better with eskates. Is shipping waiting for your board to ship. Is like they're sending your board via wagon train on the oregon trail. And the guy processing your order died of dysentery.

I wasn’t scared because I didn’t know any better. Was a thrill for sure.
The time for a battery change will really depend on how far you want to go and most likely, the loss of acceleration. Most riders will feel the lack of punch before they start to run out of range.

SMH, i broke my ankle 3 days ago after I fell off my backfire eskateboard. Just remember folks, wear a helmet and always shift your weight to your front leg a bit more whenever you accelerate!!!! I got thrown off my board because I forgot to shift my weight to my front leg and now i'm out for 3 months haha.
Had my first fall at 700 miles on my esk8. 3 broken ribs!

Man I came off my e board 2 days ago and injured my knee, elbow and wrist luckily I had a helmet on!
Im 49. When I first started riding, when I would fall, I fell really hard. A year in, when I fall, I don't fall as hard anymore. I would say wear knees and elbows for first few months at least. I always wear a helmet, fear for people I see riding without helmet. Back to when I first started riding, I fell on knees going about 20mph, the road rash was real. Blood everywhere. I tell people who ask, yes, you are gonna fall, and yes, you will get hurt, don't ride if you are not prepared for that.
As far as I’m concerned falling off of bike is pretty much the worst experience you can have doing any kind of activity, so I’m pretty sure that this has just scared me off of getting a longboard at all lol
what are the eskate laws in Shanghai? I live here and want to build a better DIY but im kinda woried about the laws.

Broke my femur from hitting a pothole on a unfamiliar road learned my lesson don’t go fast on roads you don’t know!
Me, too. Broke my left femur, just below the hip. Ambulance, surgery, a week in the hospital, a week in rehab, 6-8 weeks until I can go back to work.

Most of the time I fall which is very rare unless I don’t care if I fall when I’m riding off road but half the time a fall is because of other reasons that are out of my control like cars of people
