Yeah... I was speaking with a friend who lived there for 2 years and talking to them about how I've learned/read/heard for years that their sexuality is declining/still systematically oppressed in the day-to-day, yet seems rampantly capitalized (crazy fetish stuff everywhere) in a way that screams it. They disagreed with me, saying that Japanese are plenty "active," but I mean... they also worked at an L-hotel for a bit. They also said that the reason behind all these venues is because there isn't a lot of space or privacy in the homes, which makes sense. Still, it feels superficial and I ended our last convo commenting, "you know, I think it's just sad that something so basic as intimacy, which is supposed to be shared between two people at their most vulnerable, gets commercialized... to me that feels like a privacy *intrusion* instead of an opportunity." It just feels so fake to imagine someone only giving you the time of day because you're using each other as an escape from real life, or because you're paying for their "services:" aka time, attention and affection. Yet somehow, it's clearly desired and normalized enough for this kind of thing to be so popular. I get not everybody feels/thinks the same way, especially coming from different cultures, but I can't imagine why people would want that.... to me it feels cheap, robotic and isolating.

@@natkim3905 I respect and sort of understand your opinion, but I think the idea of sex is very romanticized and idealized in all society and this leads to a lot of problems and creates some sort of barrier and expectation around it. When I was younger I used to have this mindset, but as I got older and had more experience I really understood that sex can be something very ordinary and mundane, and at the same time, this can be freeing.
And after understanding that, I can perfectly understand how it is possible to pay for sex and how this can be an enjoyment. And yes, I have paid a lot for sex (it is legal where I live) and there's not much out of the ordinary about this.

I have heard that Japan has a lot of issues with sexuality these days, and have thought about getting on here and trying to help with that eventually. (わたしはにほんごをほたんどはなせません) Some of the things you brought up surprised me, like the birth control issue. One thing I will point out is often in the west when women end up with pain it's an arousal (lubrication) issue. The vagina is made of muscle and can be stretched to acclimate to larger sizes.(I have seen it done) That wouldn't fix the eventual issue of smaller pelvis size, though.

Ethinylestradiol doesn't disrupt puberty, if anything it accelerates it. Also it's hard getting the pill in Japan, I live here and I have to resort to condoms. What would disrupt development is starving yourself, skipping meals, and dieting. Usually this is done by girls who are told to be afraid of being 'too fat' for boys.

Starvation (low BMI specifically) is a significant factor too...fat is a primary storage center for estrogen.
However, I think you have a misconception of the nature of female hormones. They aren't as linear as male hormones.
Typically, women have higher levels during our peak reproductive years (25-35 years old)...and it's a dynamic balance of progesterone and 3 types of estrogen that changes daily and varies with each woman's body.
(many brands of pills contain a large proportion of progesterone (or similar chemical)
For an average adolescent girl, it _"generally"_ takes about 5 years for periods to normalize. This correlates to the low hormone levels at that age...particularly progesterone, which acts as a counter balance, that "finalizes" puberty
      It's like you're baking a cake ...stage 1...oven for 30 minutes...stage 2...decorate it and serve it.
When the body detects a high level of progesterone...that cake's coming out of the oven, ready or not.
That's why doctor's recommend waiting a little while for periods to start to stabilize before taking the pill
Also there's a limit as to how much estrogen the body can process. There's a finite number of receptors. The excess estrogen is converted into other hormones. Honestly I'm not 100% sure how estrogen receptors work, but I've seen photos of receptors being diminished when exposed to progestin, a byproduct of progesterone.
...so that can't be good for the early stages of puberty either
Also (my theory), a body's normal growth is separate than the effects of puberty. Development takes a lot of calories, so it doesn't like to multitask.
Ever wonder why males are proportionately 10-15% larger?
I think it's because they start puberty a little later than females...a.k.a. their bodies focus on non-puberty development longer than females.
With the introduction of high levels of estradiol/progesterone early on, that curtails development even further
      ...again, just a theory
_(I'm not a doctor. ...just a hypochondriac who's trying to learn a few things to persuade herself to be less self-critical)_

...if I'm inferring this correctly (and there's a good chance that I may not be), early onset puberty from the excessive Leptin may counteract the premature finalization of reproductive development (and complications later on) by restoring (at least partially) a healthy timeline for puberty.
Though, the decreased window for prepubertal development still seems like a much greater systemic health risk.

Not true. Sorry mate. If that were the case, no women would have sex after giving birth. The pelvic floor is a muscle, if women don't do keels they end up with problems with strength, continence and elasticity. I've seen seen the results e.g. excessive vaginally tightness to the point of pain, or the opposite problem with urinary incontinence as a result.
Vaginas aren't worn out over time any more than penises. They just get old like every other part of the human body.

Despite majority of men being hetero (-sexual/-romantic), I think the worst thing that a male can do towards opposite gender is to have desires to women that go beyond the boundary of friendship, i.e. being straight. Approaching females will no doubt disrupt them from business they had before some male come close and started speaking. Nothing good comes out of being straight for the majority of people of both genders, it'll just take the most valuable thing - the time.
Surely loosing attraction to any gender will badly affect firtility rate, making it smaller than even now, but overall crime rate will significantly decrease, happiness, due to peaceful life without anybody constantly approaching and seeing as only a mean to fulfill desires, among females will also increase.
