    A big problem is Menhera, but the problem is not how you think it is. The actual problem is that society accepts that women "get psychological problems" from rejection when in fact the mental processes are very different. So instead of processing the mental issues, these women consider themselves "broken or dirty" and decide for themselves to never have normal relationships anymore.

    Man who knew the actions of the government in the 1950's to 1970's which caused a boom would end up causing a crash in the 1990's and stagnation in the 2000's to present. But it also sounds like this is a Tokyo problem that would be solved if people moved out into other cites. Not only would it help with reviving those cites that are slowly dying because people keep moving to Tokyo and low birth rate. It would also hopefully put pressure off of Tokyo and hopefully allowing change to happen within the city, and help solve the birth rate problem that living in such a dense city cause.

    Always interesting to hear about the "hidden" side of Japan, the kind of information you never hear from the news.
    I'm a psychologist and hearing about the mental health problems in the Japanese society is always fascinating because Japan has such a unique culture. For example host/ hostess clubs would never ever work in other parts of the world.
    I think it's also important to finally normalize psychotherapy in Japan and eliminate the stigma attached to people that need therapy, instead of creating all kinds of services that only make the problems worse and only "help" people to pretend everything is alright ( like rental girlfriend, rental family, host clubs and so on ).
    Like why not treat the root of the problem instead of playing pretend... ?
    Arigato Meshida-san 🫡👍 Happy new year✌️

    • @lukashenrique4295
      @lukashenrique4295 Před 6 měsíci +1

      12h of work journey might mess up people's mentality, specially for the young work force, and I know that social media puts on a huge (gigantic really) pressure on people and since Japan has a culture of trying to fit in, or trying to look perfect, girls put their looks above personality, they won't mind being shallow if it gets them recognition.
      Not a thing exclusive to Japan but since you have little free time to study what you want, socialize and just having opportunities to explore different topics out of school about the world, they (society, also parents) throw at you obligations as soon as you graduate from high school:
      1. Gotta make money
      2. Help the family
      3. Get a degree or be a nobody
      4. Look pretty or else...
      5. Look at other people. See? Ok, you know what to do...
      6. "Is X son doctor? Why you no doctor yet?"
      7. 12h of work, little time for pleasure. Go crazy on weekends, do your worst, you deserve it! Drink a lot, smoke a lot, have tons of s** every weekend, that's life!!
      8. Bf, husbands gotta work? No time for dates? Dw, the host club is open.
      I think this is a recipe for a meltdown. I do believe Japan doesn't have a lot of time or worse, freedom, people are afraid of choosing things for themselves or speaking their minds, they usually hold their true feelings to themselves.
      Psychologists will help but only a couple of patients at a time, unless you make... idk, youtube, tiktok videos and try to alert the younger audience so they can spot these issues and try to change. Or even parents really, I think parents should act better.
      I'm not a psychologist, you are. Just stating my guesses of what I think could influence the japanese culture to act how they act. I love studying east asian societies, I do have a thing for Japan but it sucks it holds such dark traits within its society, not all of it are people's fault, the govt should do something.

    • @sammyb1651
      @sammyb1651 Před 6 měsíci

      Well said. This common sense thinking is finally becoming more prevalent in the West. Previously in the West, society was urged to accept that women were not responsible for these choices. Feminism demanded people believe that women were always "forced" into such behaviour (ie by evil men). In actual fact they do have other choices (the same choices as everyone else), it's just that some choose to monetise sex because it's an easier way for them to make more money.
      Society is entitled to see that for what it actually is, to treat them as adults with agency, and not believe their silly claims to be "victims". Women are not constant "victims" just because they don't get the outcomes they want. Their choice is their choice. That is what equality is all about.

      @@KantoCafe715 i meant that independence isnt for "us" as s nation. aka my nation. we dont know what to do with it, so we f things up left and right, and i mean implode the economy, lower living standards etc, destroy our industry, future, demographic picture, etc.
      its because we have a serf mindset and a reflex to follow whatever the current big boss wants; americans, germans, whoever. the "biggest patriots" are busy plundering and hating our equally stupid neighbours, and noone asks about what is our national interest. like, where do we go from here? no wonder young people are all leaving.
      and here is an another example; my aunty. she just cannot make good decisions in life and is giving my mom a headache often. my mom is reasonable and my aunty isnt - with money, with life decisions, shes irresponsible. now, shes reasonably intelligent, shes educated, and is a good person, but she just isnt capable of making reasonable decisions, thats all. so it would have helped if she had a good reasonable husband to balance her out (unfortunately she doesnt).
      My point is, like it or hate it, independence is name of the game in our times. And for individuals and nations alike, independence is both a danger and a possibility. But, not everybody is culturally capable of doing well with it.

    As a wise man said sagaciously: Men are expendable and women are perishable... I will add: once you understand these....inextricable fetters of nature you can consciously use them to seize the life you find most endearing and rewarding . Men earn their worth through work and women retain their value from purity. c'est la vie!

    this whole host system with the debt traps, mental issues and horrors that come about from it sounds like it would work as the premise of a good anime series of mini-series. Possible in some kind of horror or crime genre. Especially if you put some kind yakuza spin on it. Or does this kind of show or manga exist already and I'm kind of late to the party on this realization?
    also the other thing this brings to mind for me is this set up of class horror makes me think of that Korean Black Comedy Thriller Parasite as far as class and social issues. I think somebody could play around and highlight the things you describe here and somehow tell an interesting story with it.
    as far as having an actual solution, i'm sorry i don't have any as far as helping fix the social issues for those that find themselves in trouble within that system.

    • @Funkensturme
      @Funkensturme Před 6 měsíci +1

      That would really be something I would like to watch, if it were well written. If it also were in a style similar to Parasite would be even better!
      The closest I've seen to that was a Japanese movie called "Rent a Friend", it is about a journalist woman that hires a friend, but the guy in the movie also works as boyfriend for hire. But it doesn't focus on the negative aspects of it.

      34000 USD GDP per capita is like the average temperature in hospital in morgue people's temperature is below 10°C, while some patients have temperature over 40°C, vut in average it's 36,6°C
