Hi! I know this is 4 years old so I hope you see my comment. Thank you for this tutorial! It is exactly what I was looking for. There are so many others that come close, but your attention to the details answered the questions I was working on. Your red nail polish hack, genius! And leaving the top portion of the vase clear so the light could shine through while painting the bottom so it actually looks like a mushroom-so simple, but no one else I have watched has solved that yet. Love it!! I am making these in the Super Mario style.

It'd look cool with the glass rocks glued to the top for texture as well as a glint in the sun during day and at night I imagine it'd be neat as well. I love your idea

Now if I really wanted to put that in my garden I would think that vase would not keep very sturdy unless it's glued.... Lots of work but I would love to make a few so I would use unbreakable bowls and vases don't you think?

I will try it with a plastic vase bottom and top weighted with pea gravel. I have destructive children. Lol

Great idea! I used to have a bunch littles running around too so I know exactly what you mean. The plastic should work great for you.

Very cool, so the glue, E 6000? That holds up pretty well I take it? I'm gonna try this!! Do you think this glue will hold small atines?

Didn't work on solar light for me. Once I inserted solar part in cap it didn't come out. Should check these things before making a video about it.

The camera kept focusing, gave me a headache, couldn't watch it all. Looked cute in the thumbnail though.
