Road Trip North to South France AVOIDING TOLLS! Was it worth it???

I am off hibernating in a cabin in the mountains, totally off-grid this week. So, I have dug out this old video to share. It's fun!
I did my yearly move to Spain, but this time I drove down from London through Northern France and headed south.
A lot of hours inside my head, I took the non-toll route. Was it cheaper? Was it worth it?
I noted some hilarious stereotypes and general amused myself with the radio and views.
