So many GOOD things! Moved home to the US from Japan, spending time with my grandson, son, parents, in-laws, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, friends! Spinning yarn, crocheting a summer top, starting a lacy sweater for my mom…and waiting to welcome my first granddaughter to the world! Life is awesome!

My husband and I just bought a rental/ retirement property. Also my husband just received a clean bill of health after a second Melanoma diagnosis. So thankful he is healthy.

Next weekend is my boyfriend and I's 1 year anniversary. After a toxic marriage, I didn't think I'd make 1 year with anyone again. I am also taking a trip to Tennessee with my family in 2 weeks. Coming from the swamps, I can't wait to go sit in the creeks. ❤

We are so happy and grateful to be back to traveling! We recently visited family and it was so wonderful to hug family members we’ve not hugged since the before the pandemic! It was a great feeling!

Today is my last day of vacation. We took the kids to the mountains and just had so much fun being together with just the 5 of us. Hiking, golfing, and beach days. My heart feels full. ☺️

Last week I was able to see my son and his fiance! Next week, I'll get to see my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter! I haven't seen the baby since August!!! She is now 16 months. I can't wait!

My husband and I went ballroom dancing for the first time in 17 months. It was awesome!

Last week, we got to have an in-person visit with our 20 month old granddaughter...1st time in nearly 3 months because we were all under strict stay in place orders. It was great!

I also love Summer and my husband and I drove from PA to Florida to visit my mother in law whom we haven't been able to visit in 2 years! It was wonderful and relaxing! So happy to have been able to get away for a bit!

Good things this week have been meeting friends for coffee, finishing some WIP's and organising some charity events to raise money for the FCN, a farming charity supporting mental health and other issues.

Just came to your podcast today and I love your knits! What’s making me happy is that in less than a week, Lord willing, I'll be hugging my beautiful little grandson! He is absolutely precious to me. I wish we lived closer to him because he is non-verbal autistic so it’s hard to maintain the usual long distance grammy connections, but he is making such great strides and has made me a better person!

We always have a wonderful July 4th party where my husband and I dress up as historical figures and do a skit; we all say the pledge of allegiance; sing the National Anthem; pray for our nation; eat lots of great food and have a MASSIVE fireworks display!

I started watching you when you first started. Glad to see you are continuing to podcast. I moved to Georgia last November after living in Virginia for 40 years. There is no yarn shop and I really missed my fiber friends. I have met a lady who knits and I am very thankful for her and the knitting groups she has introduced me to. Nothing like being around like minded friends. It sure where in NC you are, I am only about 3 hours from Charlotte. In August there will be a fiber event called Southern Comfort Fiber market. Spread the word. Enjoy your summer.

Hi Fernanda! So, the good... no WONDERFUL thing that happened in the past 2 weeks for my family is that on June 5th, my daughter married the most amazing man! As a Mama, you know you want true happiness for your babies (even when they're almost 29!) and it warms my heart to see them begin their new life together

My good thing is that we got 2 puppies! They're so sweet! 🐶🐶
A word about the yarn bee cozy toes - I assumed the acrylic would make it easy to throw in the wash with the rest of my daughter's clothes... Nope! I super felted her first pair. 😭 It did fine in a cold wash and then fishing them out to air dry before everything else went into the drier. They've got some self striping yarn that is totally man made fibers that does just fine, so that's what I'll use for my kids' socks from now on so I don't have to do more sorting.

We have been in a heat wave this week in BC and I have a week of vacation days. My father in law came for a visit and we haven't seen him in 18 months! Lots to be thankful for. Your Maja Cardigan is beautiful.

Very excited to meet my mother again after COVID. I hope to fly in September but as there is a travel ban in Australia, will have to put in an application to fly to go over to care for her. Her dementia has progressed.....but am so excited to go and care for her to keep her at home, a home she has lived in for over 50 years.

I completely agree with you that it’s easier to do colorwork in the round on small needles instead of magic loop. My very good friends twin preemie grandsons came home from the hospital at 5 weeks old. So happy my friend got to finally hold them. We were in lockdown and she could not visit the hospital.

Lovely podcast . I think the blessing that has brought me most happiness is a daytime programme that I’ve been volunteering with. We have been working with those who are vulnerable in our city centre and it’s so good to connect with the same people over and over . They have made me appreciate things that I often take for granted . It was supposed to trail fo a month and it’s now on month three and it’s a great team to be part of .

I celebrated my 70th birthday two weeks ago. My kids bought me an Amish swift and yarn winder, which I am having so much fun playing with that I am caking yarn like crazy. 🤗 I also just completed a Love Note sweater by Tin Can Knits with Knit Picks yarn. It is the first sweater I have knit for myself in over 50 years and I have been knitting since I was 8. Lol! It was about time! 💙
