There could be a valid strategy to use a piranha plant on yourself. For example, you have 250 coins and someone has a Goomba capsule. You use the plant on yourself to nerf your coins and effectively secure coin star and prevent your opponent from swapping coins with you while still having a decent amount of coins in case they don’t.
damn, imagine seeing the Miracle capsule for the first time but you were in first place with them. that would be super confusing, "wait what do you mean you wont give my stars away? why were you going to do that!?"

I guess they didn't take into consideration what could happen if 3rd or 2nd place got the miracle capsules. It should just give the first place stars to whomever collects them. Why would you collect them just to give someone else a spot in 1st place other than yourself?

You need to be in last and get "give half your ministars to last place." Also good luck getting 0 ministars at the bowser space, so late into the board.

I just remember my brother and a cpu were very close (2p match), then the cpu's ministars were doubled. That's all I got. It's also not guaranteed, sometimes he just will take half.
It's only a thing in Mario Party 10 with the Steal Spaces, you can only give either 5 or 10 mini stars to last place! And yeah I know that but I'm pretty sure I've seen sometimes the ministars count just being ignored instead of doubled so I think you have to get an certain difference of ministars between first & last place.
I've seen both ways, usually it is just ignored, but I have seen it where 1st/2nd (last) were really close and it doubled. Once. Can't remember the exact numbers, but I think it was about 50s-40s or something like that.
Seriously though I’m glad I’m mario Party 6 and 7 the charge for using orbs on yourself was removed. Made stuff a lot easier and added more strategy! Hopefully mp11 goes back to the old style.
What about an event in Mario Party 5’s Card Party where upon uncovering a Star there’s a chance it will shake and shatter its golden surface revealing it being a Ztar with dramatical camera angles and all. Or viceversa
I remember that happening once. Scared the shit out of me. I actually remember another very rare event, Where when getting a Ztar, The Golden Star will try to break through but then sink back down.
Huh. I could've swore I read somewhere that the Miracle capsules force the game to end with the collector as the victor. Well that's lame! All it takes is some comparatively more common luck to completely undo the balance shift such a rare event causes! And if you're not in dead last, then it's completely worthless!
I remember playing this on new years eve and my friend was just wrecking everyone. Close to the end of the game and my brother ended up with 3 miracle capsules. I'd been having garbage luck barely able to get any amount of coins. Then this happened and I cackled for the rest of the game.
Maybe its a good idea to make a video about Bowser Spaces in Mario Party 1. Wacky things can happen on these spaces, not to mention all the things that happen when you got 0 coins. Bowser can take stars for 10 coins, he'll give you money if you don't have anything, and if you get him from a hidden block with 0 coins, you'll receive 1 coin from him. Also, if you manage to tie any Bowser mini-game, he'll just take money from the person that stepped on the Bowser Space anyway. In Mario Party 1 he was truly evil!

This series is amazing! I grew up with these games, so it's always amazing to see things that slipped under your nose by chance. I grabbed two of these in a game once, but never a third. I usually played short games so that was a surprise eitherway. I did notice that these videos don't get as many views as your rest, but I hope you continue making them anyway. This is some seriously great content.
If it were an extremely long game, you might have to steal the miracle capsules away from those trying to sabotage you if you happen to be destroying everyone else. Getting all 3 might just be a good method of getting rid of them, but outside of that yeah. I kinda expected it to gather up everyone's stars and give them to first place, seeing as how hard it is.

The Item system in Mario Party 5 is kinda like an experiment by the developers because they wanted to see how the capsules would work out. And the Orb system was heavily improved in Mario Party 6, compared to the capsule system in Mario Party 5. In Mario Party 7 the Orb system was once again improved in my opinion as there are also character-specific Character Orbs which can have a much greater effect than the other Orbs. And it's debatable if the new Koopa Kid Orbs are also an improvement or if they just add to the randomness and luck in the game.

Years ago, my last game in those days, I was playing the game of my life. 5 stars, all minigames won, rich as hell. Then, the last of last turns. Freaking Toad, played by friend, gets on the Chance square and gets to switch his 0 stars with my 5 stars. I laughed so freaking hard as it just was impossible to be mad at this.
I always wondered what would happen. In all of my time since first playing the game when it came out, I, as well as the computer players, have not been able to acquire 3 Miracle Capsules in one game, even in a 50-turn play.
In a series absolutely swimming in bullshit, which is a reason many of us adore it, it takes something TRULY evil for me to label something as utterly VILE as this as "pure, unfiltered, and absolute total BULLSHIT!"

They're not that rare. Of course they are pretty rare but not nearly as rare as this. Almost everyone who has played Mario Party 8 knows what it looks like to land on that space and if you're really fixated on landing on it, you can use specific candy to make it easier. It's not really worth making an entire video around them.
When I was kid I got two, cut to 12 years later and my friend gets two and I have one. I’m in first place and hes in last place and just got lakitu from the capsule machine. I check and you can use the miracle capsule to just get rid of it. He wanted to see what would happen and to be honest so did I. I’m now thankful that I didn’t let that happen.
In MP4, if more than one player are still tied for first in coins and stars, they must roll dice and the player with the highest roll is declared the winner. Ross and Barry got this when the Game Grumps played Mario Party 4 and Barry won through dumb luck as a result.I'd imagine the rest of the series does the same thing.

Should’ve had it give stars to whoever gets all 3 capsules, not just first place to last.
That would have been better.
Problem is, it’s easy to mistake a Miracle Capsule for a blue Capsule like the Chance or Duel Capsule when it first comes out of the Capsule Machine

I have played this game for HOURS and have never heard of a miracle capsule.
I always wondered what would happen. In all of my time since first playing the game when it came out, I, as well as the computer players, have not been able to acquire 3 Miracle Capsules in one game, even in a 50-turn play.
Same. I used to play 50-turns mode and I never witnessed that event.
In a series absolutely swimming in bullshit, which is a reason many of us adore it, it takes something TRULY evil for me to label something as utterly VILE as this as "pure, unfiltered, and absolute total BULLSHIT!"
This is literally chance time's "trade stars" option but only from 1st to 4th place.
I thought if *someone collects all Miracle Capsules then the game will end immediately and the person would be deemed 1st regardless of star/coin count*

Wow, never heard of this before! Nice to see someone log it, because you're right, I never saw a Miracle Capsule during the short time I played Mario Party 5(which was REALLY short because I didn't like it as much as the other Mario Parties).

Or, a video about getting a tie in these games. It has happened to my brother and I naturally once in Mario party 6. It was crazy. He beat me on the roll off and I couldn’t be mad.
I encountered it and hate it. My sister got all my stars and I was so damaged that a "miracle" can't heal me.
One time when we were 5, me and friends played MP5, and someone got all 3 miracle capsules, last place elicited bounced around, but 1st place, threw a TOAL FIT and THREW THE GAMECUBE OUT THE WINDOW. 🙀🙀🙀

Rare oddities request: Battle Minigames in Mario Party 5, 6, 7, and DS
Yesterday I was playing Mario Party 6 and I had 3 consecutive battle minigames. I didn't understand why do I have to play 3 battle minigames in a row.
That hurt to just watch.
I kinda wish you got a different reward for getting all the miracle capsules in First place. I mean, it's good you don't lose all your stars, but it sucks that nothing actually happens and your efforts would have been in vain.
4:20 : Actually I could see why you can use a piranha plant on yourself: If you have a lot of coins and you don't want a specific player to start a duel with you that would allow them to have a hell amount of coins...

the gold note spaces from MP8. you’ve gotta be playing a specific mode, and there’s only ever one per board
They're not that rare. Of course they are pretty rare but not nearly as rare as this. Almost everyone who has played Mario Party 8 knows what it looks like to land on that space and if you're really fixated on landing on it, you can use specific candy to make it easier. It's not really worth making an entire video around them.
Probably the most pointless implementation in the series since not programming the CPU to use the bowser suit in Mario Party 4

When I was kid I got two, cut to 12 years later and my friend gets two and I have one. I’m in first place and hes in last place and just got lakitu from the capsule machine. I check and you can use the miracle capsule to just get rid of it. He wanted to see what would happen and to be honest so did I. I’m now thankful that I didn’t let that happen.

What happens if you roll three of the same numbers with a golden mushroom?
There are videos of this, you'll get 20 coins (any regular triple) or 50 or 100[mp8] coins (Rolling three 7s).
My older brother made me rage quit when that event happened to him when it was the second to last turn.

I still say having players tied in stars and coins, after bonus stars, across the games would be good to see.
In MP4, if more than one player are still tied for first in coins and stars, they must roll dice and the player with the highest roll is declared the winner. Ross and Barry got this when the Game Grumps played Mario Party 4 and Barry won through dumb luck as a result.I'd imagine the rest of the series does the same thing.
