Even though I hate it, but the spam on CZcams is incredible and forces me to manually check every comment. You'd think a small channel like this would be spared, you don't win free stuff here in the comments and crypto sucks >:(
Man, these look spectacular. I wouldn't worry too much about the clear coat gloss, real mags also have that slight bit of gloss to them.
Thank you man and yeah, also there are so many different variations, hard to go wrong haha
It´s here the bakelite god has blessed us !!!
Haha hope you like it!
good job bro and nice idea with the markings :D
Great result! One of the best fakelites I've seen so far. I may try it out myself.
Did you ever try experimenting with pigmenting the resin instead of using the spirit stain? It seems like something minor to point out, but it may make the texture match the ripples of colour a bit more. Maybe the resin will self-level/spread too much for that though.
Geez... all the work, but damn worth it! 🔥
Thank you brother!
Wow that looks very good. I don’t like the woodstain version too. But I will definitely try this
Looks good
Looks good! Made me panic run to check if my bake mags were real
Lmao if you send them to me I’ll inspect them for free and I’ll even pay for shipping 😂
For those wondering what paints he's using as best I can tell the colour codes are:
RAL 2003 pastel orange
RAL 2009 traffic orange
Hope that helps someone out there
That’s very impressive.
Thank you man
Great tutorial and method! What kind of specific wood spirit stain would you recommend? something ike Walnut? Im definitely doing this with some big RPK-74 magazines
Thank you man, well I went for orange, red cherry tree, black and mahogany. Try to keep the colors in a redish, brown color. Then experiment with mixing until you have somting you like.
@@MadAKMax Am I right in thinking that the stains/pigments are specifiically Alcohol Soluble ones? know anywhere good to get them? Thanks
Exactly, this is always difficult to answer, because I am central EU based. I bought mine directly of ebay.
This is amazing but where do I get spirit powders lol?
I like the bosnian steel AK mags.
Hey is it possible to share a link to the powders, can’t find any anywhere, I’m looking to try this myself
I've never tried this before. would it work using normal wood finish instead of the spirit stuff?
That is the most common method, which I don't like tho, because it always lacks depth and looks dull!
what fine colored-powder did u use?
Would high gloss clear coat not work beneath the epoxy resin coat?
Dude, I kept waiting for you to smash a watermelon.
Nice work.
It looks great but now I’m stuck debating is it worth buying just one bake for 100$ or making one for about 50$
Did you notice any fitment issues because of the added thickness to the feeding lip area that inserts into the firearm?
slightly yes, you might have to sand a little after. I just forced the mags into the gun 2-3 times, to scrape off the excess material.
What brand spirt stain do you use?
What was the stain you've been using?
How much would you charge to do a 7.62X39 mag
Nice tutorial but can you share what colors the pigments had you used for the alcohol based stain, it is really the key thing to know and without that info sadly not much of a tutorial.
Orange, red cherry, black, mahogany
@@thesnake2620any idea of the brand?
Can you send me a 3D file for those stamps? Great video
Did you say you're working on Grozas?
Yessir
Your epoxy layer needs to be sanded smooth.
Bro what is that hex handgaurd that thing is sexy as hell
paint?
0:42 Nah mate, the 20 years wasted against some goat farmers in sandals and then give them new toys For free was hilarious
Could you imagine living in California at this time?😂😢
Neutered guns and neutered men turning into women.
The mags came out good but they look a little too glossy. I would suggest using a semi gloss protectant.
