When designing a self-build campervan, space is always at an absolute premium and whether or not to include a table in your van can be a tricky decision. I opted not to in my first build, included one in my second and it ended up being a real game-changer having a table to work and eat at. Thanks for some ideas and insight. Pull/slide out tables seems like a pain if you're eating with someone and one of you needs to get up. You'd have to pick up plates and things instead of just swiveling out the way.
As someone who has been rear ended that transition sound clip is scary😭 great video though, lots of nice ideas, thanks!
Nicely timed video as I need to solve my table fitting, but unfortunately nothing to suit me.
Think I just liked your (Nate's) table best but that's cos I've seen similar tables that can be attached externally for outdoor cooking etc too.
Really like your positive attitude tho. I agree, I think everyone can do a van /suv/car conversion (and I think everyone SHOULD do their own diy - only you know what will work best for you).

Lots of great table ideas.. I really like the last van, the gal who covered her mattress from material she had gotten from Tanzania... Does she have a YT van vid tour of the van.. Really like all the interesting shapes of wood too!!!

I am so lazy I just want a permanent bed and a table where one person can get up without disturbing the other as well as walk through and access the rest of the van. My husband built our van like that
I did that so there is room for sitting, eating, prepping without moving things. No need for a hubby here!

If you make a table out of plywood be sure to see which way it bends and put the “round” up.

Unique maybe but most of these tables are a pain to put up, store and then disassemble; give me a lagun table any day! And what is with that cute girl with the bull ring in her nose? What is this younger generation thinking?
