Buckin, I love you too. I just wanted to share a brief reason why your channel is one of my favorites of all time:
I had one heck of a couple of days buckin. Emotions, feelings, events happened, and it all has left me devastated. I needed something to cheer me up, and I knew just the man to watch. Thank you. I love you. I appreciate you. I look up to you. Your outlook on life is inspiring. You may have even saved my life tonight. It was dark. But you got me out of it. Watchin buckin happy to be buckin. Happy to run a saw. You are creating a heck of a ripple effect. This is real man talk. You have become a mentor to me. Again, thank you so much for bringing light into this world.

They were full of little holes from guys kicking them with their cork boots . They replaced with the Husqvarna 2100 , been a Husky fan ever since . 👍🇨🇦

Once I learned to file a chain at 14 like you prob, I know I ruined a chain or two getting to a point where I realized the chain needed 3 minutes of work - to save me hours and sore muscles from forcing the saw. Carbs will only put so much fuel and air into a cylinder. They are set at a level that it will not blow up. A fuel injection engine does not have those limits. They have to have a way to limit revs or they would blow up all the time. When it hits the rev limiter it may sound funny depending on the type of rev limiter used.

She likes a constant load or it will start 4 stroking. The stock clutch sprocket is 7 pin. For smaller wood you might want to run an 8 pin sprocket. More chain speed seems to help with 4 stroking in smaller wood quite a bit.

I have to admit I have been spoiled with the old hot rod 71 -72 that cover all basis. they missed the mark a bit on the 500 but it is great in the bigger stuff fer sure.

I run a 462 with a 32" and a 25". No better feeling when you got a big oak on the ground and you got her screaming. Makes you feel like a man!

I ported the stock muffler on my old Husqvarna. Its pretty loud now.. Think I'll call it the "meow module." Maybe "cough capsule?" 🤣

I can hear what your saying about the 500i chainsaw and you are right it sounds like when your the wood it chatters like the chain isn't biting into the wood it sounds like it's skipping like it's trying to cut into the wood but skipping teeth and or the rakers are to high and the teeth can't get a good grip . The muffler should be changed along with the air filter it doesn't sound like it's getting enough air is going in or out of the chainsaw. Good air make a lot of difference. DVT.

Hey Buckin’, I’m glad to see the 500i is growing on you and you’re humble enough to admit you just needed to learn a little about it. Quick question, what’s your opinion on removing and plugging the decomp valve on this saw? Heard people having issues with leaking and plugging it to avoid it. Thanks!

The design of the air cooling is where most of the sawdust is coming from in my experience. The 572, 592 and 500i are all terrible clutch up with a pulling chain for sawdust in the face. I’ve riveted a piece of leather onto the plastic sawdust deflector on the handlebars of the 500i. Even with a bark box it pretty must solves the issue. Happy cuttin!

Hey, the chips in the face is nothing new. I fell timber with an 084 years ago, that had the extended chip deflector and 3/4 wrap bar. Saw was designed in the 80's and I had to rivet a rubber flap to the side of the chip deflector. The Canadian fellers have been doing that for well over 30 years now, to keep chips from going down their shirt. I had to be real careful, because I was cutting large red cedar, which I'm allergic to. Those chips down my shirt would leave me itching and covered in welts!

@@forrestwright5981 for sure, but the new designs of the cylinders and top covers make it even worse. I just changed my avatar and you can see a stock plastic chip deflector on the bars, I’ve riveted leather on it to help manage it. Cheers.
