    In this video, I make papaya soap using papaya puree & natural coloring annatto seed.
    Makes 10 bar soap
    Yellow papaya Recipe:
    600g Pomace Olive oil
    300g Coconut oil
    80g Castor oil
    1Tbsp Kaolin Clay
    1Tbsp Annatto seed
    2Tbsp Papaya puree
    141 Caustic Soda/Lye

      You can cover your mold with old towels or box to insulated your soap so it can go to gel phase on a saponification process. It will take atleast 1 day before you can unwrap and cut, after you cut you have to let it dry for a month before you can use for bathing.

      Hi, the soap don’t need to be put in the fridge. It has a high pH for self preserving product.

      Yes you can use on the soap base. You have to dissolve the clay first to a tablespoon of water or oil and completely blended before adding to a base. Otherwise you will land up having solid particles.

      Hi Winu, Yes you can replace the water with juice. Then add few purée in your final soap but not to much purée because it will spoil your soap if you use to much. Hope it helps!

      You can use Turmeric, Mangosteen or some herbs that provide natural color. Hope it helps🙂

      Hi Tiny, I’m afraid to say no. You can use the Annatto yes to Melt and pour but the papaya purĂ©e might be going to be off in your melt in pour. Unless you gonna be using small amount only and use your soap quickly. Otherwise try to use Dried ingredients to add to your melt and pour to last longer!

      Hello, apologies for late response, by putting lye solution to the oil phase it helps to saponified the mixture to turn into soaps. I didn’t add sodium lactate because I know my mixture is going to turn hard enough to be able to cut.

      If gamit ka ng lye solution mga isang buwan mo bago magamit yung sabon at dapat Tama yung quantity ng lye para safe sya magamit.
      If gusto mo ng mabilis magamit na sabon gamit ka ng base soap gaya ng glycerin solid kasi e melt and pour mo lang yun. Once maging solid ulit sya ready to use na.

      The lye water ng kutsinta ay gawa sya sa baking soda mixture. Hindi Pwedi yung sa sabon. Meron nabibili ng lye water mixture ng para sa kutsinta Sa lazada. Name nya LIHIA lye water.

      Hello, thanks for reaching out and watching my videos.
      The supplies you can get from Amazon or best in your local market. Just research online first. The oil you can get from supermarket from the beginning no problem. The clay and sodium hydroxide you normally buy in your local supplier online. The one you see on the sieve is called papaya puree, can be used papaya powder or papain enzymes powder. As a newbie I suggest you do the plain first.

      So far yung mga gawa ko ay ok naman at no problem. Basta tamang quantity lang lagay mo no need preservative na fahim mataas naman Ph ng sabon. Pag madami kasi masira yan soap mo at mag rancidity sya.

      Hi @Mahogany Beauty, I used the same amount of the water in total. but I replaced few water with papaya purĂ©e. If you want to do water discount in the future you can remove 5%. Hope that’s helps.

    Beautifully made soaps. What is the scent? It’s large soap, so big for my hands. Do you cut in half or sell it as is. Also the video is very slow. You need to edit some parts. But thank you for sharing.

      Hello @Pasha, the scent is sweet and relaxing. I have used lemongrass EO, ylang ylang EO and Lavender EO. Yes it’s a little big. Most of my soaps I sell as it is. Thanks for the valuable feedback. I will work on it next time videos 🙂

      Thanks for your inquiry Madam, In my soap that I made is not needed to use preservative because I only uses the right amount of the additives. Most of water normally evaporated. The cold process is highly alkaline soap that stop the fresh ingredients to go moldy or ranched. However, if it use too much there is a chance the soap will go ranched and get spoil.

      Yes you can use as a replacement for virgin coconut oil. But don not replace with other oil as it needed to change the lye ratio as well.

    if I don't have any papaya fruits, can I substitute with the papaya extract using your recipe? I found a papaya extract seller on one of the online shops here but my concern is the ratio. Have you tried using papaya extracts to substitute for the fruit? How much is the safe measurement if I use this recipe you posted here? Thanks so much!

      Hello Hana, sorry for the late response. I have missed your message. Yes definitely you can use papaya extract. Just look on the description of your supplier how much you can used, it normally used from 0.5%-10%. Hope that helps.

I don't sell, i just try to make some for myself, my family and then give them as occasional as gifts to friends. I couldn't find any soapmaking video with a recipe that uses papaya or licorice extracts and I hope the store I bought from can give me the safe usage rate. But I appreciate your reply.       @@bionutritive Hi Hana, I can relate to you when I was searching about making soap using papaya. That is why I posted this video so people can see how to use them. Keep in mind that if you are using a purée 1-2tbsp is enough, if powder you can use 1tbsp. No more than that. otherwise your mixture will not be balance.       Hi Sheha, the shelf-life of soap đŸ§Œ is depending on how much we put natural additives. For example if we used fresh ingredients and if too much then the soap will last only 6 months. Or will even spoil the saponification process to form soap.
      Use right amount quantity of additives your soap will last 2 years or even more. Hope that helps! Stay safe!!

      Hello, Oo nag discoloration talaga ang kojic acid sa soap. para ma solve mo sya gamit ka ng coloring sa soap mo at low percentage lang ng kojic dahil strong yan pag mapadami.

      Hello Johannah paula, I did pour hot water on top of the mold and let it stand for 30-minutes to dry out before I cut my soap. I have video showing how it done in my Green papaya making soap. Hope it helps 🙂

      Hello Ela, yes need talaga nga mag cure para mas gumanda lather nya at mas matigas yung soap. If gusto mo mabilisan yung Melt and pour glycerin soap mas ok. pwedi sya benta agad or use it after magawa.

      Might be the puree or to much water you use. To make extra hard soap in the future you can add a teaspoon of salt on your water for every 500g of oil. Please add the salt first to water phase then dissolve before adding the caustic soda. Otherwise your salt might not be mix in properly.
