A dream come true, but not without pain and challenges. (Video available with Spanish subtitles).
They call El Salvador one of the best hidden gems for surfing. I decided to go there...naturally...and test it out for myself. Without any prior experience in surfing, but holding onto this dream for more than half my life (I wanted to learn to surf since I was 12), I decided I already gave enough excuses, so I might as well just try. And so...I learned to surf in 14 days in El Salvador with the assistance of some INCREDIBLE humans. Or did I?
Absolutely this journey would not have been possible without the people dedicated to their craft and to teaching newbies like me. Extremely grateful for the guidance and mentorship of these talented people.
And so...here is the result of that. The ups, the down, the frustrations, the injuries, the failures, the successes. A truly fruitful journey. Was I able to accomplish the task at hand? Keep watching to find out!
Thank you to EVERYONE involved in helping me achieve this life long dream, particularly:

This video is particularly important to me because obviously this is a dream, secondly it’s showcasing one of my favourite countries in the world, I realised this is EXACTLY the kind of content I want to create and also incorporating having a team. I've wanted to get videographers and editors for 2 years now to assist in the workload, and this video is the result of that. Beginning of an amazing new team!
PS. Amazing drone footage by: @Ryan_Forsythe (Instagram)
Let me know what you'd like me to try next!

Sorelle is so toned it hurts 😩❤️❤️
I don’t know if I’ve ever been so toned before to be honest. Surfing is a GREAT sport for being toned it seems.
@Scott Adam in what way?
@@sebastianclerey3207 in her egotistical self centred comments about HERSELF she is a moron who thinks she can SURF!!!! MORON AND KOOK
@@nodorksshouldgrow3309 also someone else said she was toned first so all she was doing was responding 🤷♂️

This is actually incredible improvement after such a short period of time.
Not really, she got pushed into the waves.
@@Dadaadad268 She wasn't pushed into the last few waves. I'm more than impressed.
I am salvadorean. That beach is 45 mins from my house. I have to say. You motivated me to finally start doing something I always wanted to learn. Thanks for enjoying my country. Enjoy your trips
“The willingness to look like an idiot”-I felt that
THOSE WAVES ARE HEAVENLY and you killed it. Loved this vid
Is funny seeing an Aussie go to El Salvador to learn to surf
She lives in Iceland ;)
Yeah but Sorelle Amore is originally from Australia, isn't she?

This was amusing, educational, fun, visually stunning, emotional and inspiring. I wanted to learn how to surf for many years. Now I think I know what a great place to do so is. Thanks again for giving us great and valuable content 🙏🏽
And you for always dropping such thoughtful comments!!!! Thank you as always 🥰🥰🥰🥰
U FREAKIN DID IT SORELLE!!! U DID IT!!! So proud I cried when u had your I'm a surfer moment.
AWWW!!! Daria you're so awesome!!! Thank you for the support my lovely!
I'm a surfer from Ericeira, Portugal and I just want to say that you are amazing. Never seen anyone progress that fast. It took me probably 3 months to get where you got in 14 days. Good job! Keep surfing! :)
Hey thank you!!! That’s a huge compliment! And of course, couldn’t have done it without my coach ;)
kinda the same for me, keep surfing, the more you surf, the more you enjoy
She trained to be an Olympic swimmer so that helped her progression a lot! She’s awesome
I would love to see your whole journey of life since childhood till now. Like how you got so much into art, what choices you made, how you were in your teens vs now,. Your heartbreaks, your thoughts on spirituality and your weirdest thoughts which makes you Sorelle Amore.
Babe, you're such an inspiration. Love yaa!!!! ❤️
This is so nice. I would love to share! Thanks for your suggestions! :)

Surfers have a saying, "Only a surfer knows the feeling." Your stoke at the end says it all- now you know!
I agree :) people are like "why is surfing big waves so fun" and they just don't get it, it's like the rush and the water is just amazing!
OMG SHE HAS THE BEST OUTLOOK ON EVERYTHING. SHE WAS SO POSITIVE AND YET SO REALISTIC!! Lol I think I found my new role model
The only surfing I've ever done was on Club Penguin :/
Well you know what that means, get on the waves broooo😁
Surfing is just the best activity ever! Being in touch with the nature, your friends and in peace with yourself is priceless. I’m so exited to see how good you probable already is at this sorelle! 😍
Hahaha. Haven’t surfed since as I’m back in iceland but getting a board this week so I’ll be back at it in MUCH different conditions 😬😬😬
Sorelle Amore wow! Surfing in Iceland must be tough
I was SHOCKED to see ‘El Salvador’ in the title. My family’s motherland 😍😍😍!!!!!!
I’d be more surprised to see “Arizona” in the title of a surf video
i relate to where growing up i always wanted to surf. i only really started a year ago and it’s the hardest but most worthwhile thing ever. surfing is such a challenging sport to learn! it’s mentally and physically exhausting. you take a lot of hits and wipeouts before you ever really get anywhere. but after all the discipline that’s involved, being on a wave is the most rewarding feeling in the whole world. i haven’t found any experience quite as exhilarating.
I’m from El Salvador but now I live here at USA. I’m glad you like my country. Love to see you surfing and all those great shoots you did. I miss my little El Pulgarcito a lot.
this makes me want go to el salvador even more, i would love to see where my mom grew up 🇸🇻
Yeeeeea dude!! Nice one. Let’s go surf when everything clears up in LA ❤️ great video
Riding the board isn't the hard part. Reading the ocean and crowd is the real trick. It's a difficult sport and I'm stoked to see you had a good time. It looks like you learned pray quick. Coaching works when you have the right attitude. Nice work.
Just watching Marcelo on the screen has me more relaxed and in a better mood omg... I'm so glad you had him as your coach. thank you for sharing this journey with us, incredibly inspiring.
He’s a very dope human 🥰🥰🥰
I AM SO EXCITED!!!! I had to make it into a premier (first time ever!). I get to share with you attempting to undertake a life long dream of mine and again promoting one of my favourite countries in the world! Stoked to share this! Enjoy! :)
I love to see people from around the world enjoying my country!
Thanks for promoting El Salvador ❤️ and inspiring me to do new things, you have no idea how inspiring you have been for me. Bless your heart 😊
OMG I glad you came to my country!!! 😳 😳
*☼ this is a really fun entr =)* . youre doing gr8 stuff. finding some good ppl too. love it.
I'm so proud of you I cried a little ;) You're such an inspiration!!
Always love seeing people learn to catch there first waves, they are always so happy and stoked. Some pretty solid waves you caught at the end too🏄🤙
Watching this made me so happy Sorelle, I too have always wanted to surf and I fell in love with it when I went for my first 3-day surf camp in Sydney! Ever since then I never had the time to improve my skills because of the nature of my work, but watching you chase your dream and achieve your goal with so much resilience and openness is really sooo encouraging and makes my heart so warm and happy
This was an amazing video. Great job on everything overall. My parents are from El Salvador and this video just inspired me to seek ProSurf just to ground myself out to nature, to positivity, to the culture. Thank you for showing the beauty in the country and the inspiring story of Marcello along with Brian. Pura Vida!!
Hi! I've been learning surfing since June, until now I've had 16 lessons with 2 hours each one and in the last class I felt like you at the end of your video. It's powerful. It's so hard but it's so pleasant at the same time. You did a great job in 2 weeks, congratulations!
I’m buzzing! Like my body is actually vibrating. Thank you so much for sharing Sorelle! I’ve also always wanted to be a surfer (but haven’t yet made it a priority to learn). I have a really good feeling that I’ll be making my way down to El Salvador in the next couple of years. Thank you for opening my eyes to this opportunity. Puro Surf looks like a great place to learn the sport.
This is what I have been going through with surfing for the pat few months! Absolutely beautiful and raw video! Thank you, Sorelle!
Ahh I would love to learn how to surf. El Salvador looks beautiful. 😭😍
You absolute ripper! What an incredible way to spend a couple of weeks. I'm 30, and have ALSO been desperate to learn to surf since I was 12. It's my goal for this summer, this was cool inspo!
AYYYY!!! You did it!!! And it makes me feel like I can do it too! Some day! El Salvador looks really like the best place to learn surfing🏄
That was so fun to watch you catch your first waves! I especially was so stoked for you when you had that huge smile having had a sense of mastery of what you were doing coupled with how much freakin fun you were having just surfing. So happy for you! From one surfer to another, congrats !!
This brought me so much joy. I moved to Bali a year ago to improve my surfing and i relate to this veey much. You are such an inspiration!
This video was incredible man! Totally inspirational. El Salvador looks like such a wicked country and what an amazing company you worked with! Love Loved this!
I'm still in the standing up stage. You progressed really rapidly.
Greatly done! I'm glad you could experience El Salvador's coast and it's loving people. Those were my old stumping grounds and can't wait to go back. I'm proud of what Marcelo and Puro Surf are doing.
Peace!
dude when you caught that wave at 12:04 i teared up lol. amazing energy, i feel you so much on this video. thanks for the inspiration.
I loved this video! Mi Tierra El Salvador es una joya!
This is one of my favorite videos of yours, Sorelle! I have wanted to learn how to surf and watching you learn how filled me with sooo much happiness. You're literally one of the cutest humans ever
Sickening narcissist LOOK at me
This is exactly what I needed!! I’m trying to learn surfing by myself and I’m exactly at the stage of discouragement and „I’ll never be a surfer“/ „Maybe the sport is just not for me“. Thank you for giving me new motivation, I’ll keep trying
So inspiring, Sorelle! Thank you for sharing your journey!
This is so fun! Sharing the learning curve was an eye opener for me, lol, probably applies to everything.
Beautiful footage and your progress is really inspiring!

This is hella motivating. It was the same way last year when i started learning to snowboard. It's a sport that turns into a lifestyle. I love that you said that.
SORELLE! Your videos have always been amazing but it feels like you took this video to a whole new level. So impressed and inspired by both your surfing skills as well as your film making! Amazing job!
Thanks Nicole. Really put everything into this one together with my new teeeaaammm!!! Weeee!!!
The shots you took a mouth watering🤤 summer 2022 I'm going to el Salvador!!!!!
From someone who’s been surfing for 8 years, you nailed this! Props to u for gettin on those big waves as a beginner😁
I loved watching this video!
It was sooo much fun!
Surfing has been my passion since I was 10 years old. I've traveled the world surfing and still surf today at 65 years of age.
It was great seeing someone experience the thrills and challenges of engaging in this wonderful journey of learning how to surf!
Nice video! I started surfing again last year at 29 after having stopped for many years due to moving away from the sea and having a punctured ear drum. Couldn't be happier about that decision. Surfing is such an awesome sport!
The learning curve can be very steep, but it still so rewarding.
Sometimes you go out on a bigger day, fall on a wave and have to wear all of the other set waves on the head.
It sucks! And after a few of those, your mindset can shift to a bad place, you loose control over your breathing and start to question your reasons to be there, but being able to regain control over the situation and paddle back out for another wave or simply to sit on the outside admiring the whole scenery is awesome.
Sometimes you will also realise that the best thing you can do is to belly ride your board to the beach, sit on the sand and recover, before trying again. It is challenging, but it is surprising how hard it is to erase the memories of your last great wave. Before you know it, your motivation comes back again!
Ps: ^¨Under an artic sky¨ is a great movie about surfing and Iceland
love the excitment and crazyness in this video. you are so in your element, love it!
Been trying to surf for a long time on and off, and finally picked it up again, I finally managed to stand and turn and get that excited feeling. It's so good. Watching you progress makes me wanna continue!!!! Yewww
Hey just found your channel yesterday and I’m loving it new sub here keep up the amazing work 😀😀
That was SO beautiful!! This approach to learning to surf is amazing. You really showed us the full picture of learning something new and that surfing is like any other sport that requires lots of learning, practice and skill. 🏄🏼♀️☀️🤙
Yes yes yes yes x100000!!!
@@SorelleAmore sad ego stretch, surfing is a passion NOT a bucket list for wanna be kooks
Your energy is literally so infectious and I love it!
This is a really convincing ad for their coaching! I noticed you were doing many things most beginners just dont seem to do, like you were constantly looking for ways to go, popping up low, using the (almost) right movements to turn, very impressive!
This made me so happy and inspired you don’t even know!!!!
those waves had some size to them. huge props for paddling out as a beginner !
I love your determination to take on new tasks, your always trying to learn something new. You Rock!
This is truly filmed so beautifully! You are so motivating and so encouraging! Thank you for inspiring me to pursue my dreams!
I love how she complemented my country 🥺💙🇸🇻
Amazing! I went on surf camp three times but I'm still at the basics. This totally made me crave for more surfing! Wish I lived in a country with good waves close by

Wow great job insane the waves are actually very big
Oh sweeeetttt! Glad you think I did alright! WOOHOO!! Some were indeed quite big :) hehe
Lots of love to you, from El Salvador, love your work Sorelle
So inspiring! I started to bodyboard at the end of 2018 and I'm 44. I'm passionate about it but due to work I have little time to practice. Moreover, beaches and waves in Antofagasta where I live in Chile are tough! Anyway, you inspire me! I wish I could train with Marcelo and his team. Congrats on your surfing Sorelle, you're really good! 🏄🏾♀️. Thanks for inspiring me! ❤

@@Cssfiend Love, I understand reality, I am a black woman who will turn 22 and has alredy been a victim of psychological, physical and sexual abuse. I'm sure that just like all of us she has her moments of sadness, she is not happy 24 hours a day, but What in my opinion she tries to do with her videos is to take some of her moments of happiness to the rest of the world. I don't know about you, but I think the world is full of too much sadness alredy. Her videos make me believe that happiness like hers is possible. Every smile of hers serves to me as a reminder not to give up on going after what makes me happy. I hope you do that too. ❤️
Sorelle, as some who's surfed all his life... I need to say you did REALLY well! It took me forever to learn how to "ride the line" (not go straight on the whitewater). Then again, I had bad equipment, bad waves and no coach. Not to take away from your obvious fitness and skill. Also, I just discovered you with this video and have to add that your fun, positive attitude is delightfully infectious.
Loved this video. Your journey is incredible. I started surfing last year on a spontaneous one week trip to Morocco and got hooked. When I returned to Berlin all I had in mind was the waves and the feeling of the board underneath you. 3 weeks later I returned to the same surf camp for another week. I could just not wait any longer. That was half a year ago. This year at the beginning of march I went on a surfing trip again, this time for two whole weeks, and met up again with some of my new surf friends that got hooked as well.
In my city an artificial surf wave opened and I had been stalking that place just hanging out there and surf any time I could.
Now with all the corona situation I miss it so much I bought myself a surf skate to practice on pavements.
In other words; SORELLE, I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND YOU´R RUSH AND ADRENALIN FOR SURFING! Together with all it´s ups and downs.
It´s the only activity in which during I actually had nothing else in mind. Imagine yourself sitting on your board looking out into the horizon, assessing, waiting, concentrated and mentally relaxes as well. Beautiful!!
Alright, I stop now. This video just made me want to feel the force of the water under the board again. Which I could subscribe again.
Stay save everyone and keep on moving
Not bad for 14 days. Well done. Mike losness is still not a surfer. And if that's his claim, neither am I and neither are you ;)
iiiighttt...noted ;)
