    Thank you for tasteful playing which shows guitar tones without to much high gain and no shreddingg

    Very useful demo; thanks for not using delay, heavy overdrive and endless blues noodling. Actually got to hear the raw guitar.

    Just bought one of these used, in minty condition....what a great and versatile axe.....great size and weight.....don't need the size and weight of the T486 model or the Gibson 335 equivalent....the flamed finish is amazing.....better nut width than the Gibby ( wider )......killer tuners with classic headstock....would highly recommend.......I don't even use a strap with this one, which is saying something with my electrics....that's how comfortable she is...

      Here is the link and it does not list weight: www.eastmanguitars.com/t484
      Weights less than my LPC and maybe slightly more than my SG Standards.

      have you ever compared to a 339? Currently deciding

      @@CarlyonProduction Yes - much better fit and finish than the 339, better fittings (except tuners, which I replaced) - great pups, too. Lighter than a 339, and plays out like a dream.

    I sold my Gibson ES-335 a few years ago, regretted it ever since, this just may be the replacement.

    Great Demo! How is the balance of the guitar in terms of weight? If you take your hands off the guitar does it fall down or "stay" balanced in your leg? Thank you

    How would you compare this to a Gibson 339? Does this guitar hold tune better than a Gibson?

    • @shobhachandra1975
      @shobhachandra1975 Před 3 lety +2

      Pretty much head to head. The build on this is Awsome, Gibson is slightly heavier, they are both very good and well made. I went for this instead.o yes holds tune a lot

      @@shobhachandra1975 and it is half the price of the 339 Should also explain that the top on the 484 is a laminated top rather that a single piece carved top on the higher priced model. Sound wise, I didn't notice a difference between the 484 and its higher priced brother. Check out the specs - bone nut and ebony neck.
      And the sound. Mint. This guitar uses the SD Jazz / 59 b set up and they are perfect in this guitar. Unless you are picky, I like a touch more mids in the bridge so I'm still adjusting the 59b. Seriously, as it is 100% useable for anyplace you'd be using a 335 or 339.
      It is made to spec in China and I can not fault the construction, parts, or finish. The top two pieces are joined together and both sides match up very nicely. [ compared to Gibson tops that are often so badly mismatched that many look like they were put together by someone that was totally blind ].

      @@JE-western-rider for what it’s worth a Gibson ES-339 comes stock with a three ply top, maple/poplar/maple, not a one piece carved top. All the ES series guitars have traditionally been laminate.

      Better than a Gibson and, IMO, it's not close. The build quality is superb

      @@imlostinthewoods Is this one the same? I know it doesn't have poplar (not sure how that effects the tone) But I am just wondering how similar this one is. Having a hard time deciding. I prefer an ebony board though!
