I had the pleasure of asking Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to draw his favourite magical creature.

He probably holds the pen like that because he don't want to get permanent ink on his hands or clothes in case the pen should leak. He is an actor after all, marks on the hands could ruin a shot if he was filming and the make up team forgot to cover it or the makeup wore off, and the clothes are not his, so he have to be careful with them.

@@fufu2000_ You are right, might be as simple as that 😀 My original comment was just a theory, as I know a lot of actors prefer to be neat and careful around anything that can leave a stain or mark, and brush pens can be really messy. I always use a low grip on mine, and the brush often stain the inside of the cap and then the cap smear ink on the bottom of the pen barrel which in turn stain my fingers 🤭
Now you should do a full painting/drawing of those 2 things and then frame them together
