So glad you did this reaction. My wife and I were lucky enough to see Nightwish live last week at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco. They were spectacular, even considering the smaller U.S. venues where they cannot have the Pyro, Cryo, and huge video screens. Floor and the rest of the band captivated the entire audience and this was the song that closed the show. Simply amazing performance.
I've waited a long time for Nightwish to come back to the U.S. Then finally bought tickets for L.A. Calif. show which was rescheduled twice due to covid. Two years later I saw Nightwish in Denver Colorado, Mission Ballroom, May 15, 2022. Closed out show with: The Greatest Show on Earth. A night to remember 4 sure.
Both Wembley and Tampere are great, Wembley has Richard Dawkins in person, but Tampere has another bonus / surpise that I am not going to tell you about, because that would spoil the fun. But you should definitively check out the Tampere version also...
Yes, let me be really boring and add to the endless number (but most beautiful) of people saying you should watch the Tampere version. Wembley is very good (and I’ll be seeing Nightwish there in November) but Tampere is pure magic, from the first bars of that beautiful piano intro to the final words of Dawkins quoting Darwin as fireworks burst over the stadium.
@@donepearce Tampere is a much better visual show.. I have Wembley version in my car & when i go jogging & in work for the musical aspect (as you rightly say), but Nightwish are by far more of a "show" than just a song, Hence, Tampere is the better version to watch...
Saw them one week ago from today in Chicago. 100% an out of body experience. They played this and walked off. They did not play the last part of Richard Dawkins speaking but they came back an they took their bows during Ad Astra. Floor then finished it off with her vocal section of Ad Astra. Unreal.
It's not just this song you don't forget. In 2018 I saw Nightwish in Oberhausen, Germany. I will never forget the whole concert Greetings from Germany.
I love to hear Marko’s bass dominating in the mix, but technically it is too much, pushing away the choirs and the guitar (you can not push Floor’s voice away😂). Overall I prefer Tampere, good sound quality, in the open air where you can experience the darkness coming, fireworks to emphasize the shaping of the young earth, and the emotion and unbelievable power in Floor’s voice, the only time I have seen her (a few seconds) out of breath.
You totaly get why Tuomas is a genius in composing this stuff. As you mentioned at around 24:00 where Metallica is played and some house music. It takes us right into the "industrial age" part of this song. Gets me every time.
There are just two sentences that stick out the most for me. These are: We are going to die and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die, because they are never going to be born. - think of it, you are lucky because you were born. This includes death as a part of the process. So don‘t be afraid and live your life as best as you can.
100% im on the rockin boat for both Nightwish, and Ayreon..Dark Passion play is also a absolute fantastic album, some say it isnt, but boy are they wrong.. Btw, when you have done all NW albums, you are not done with NW.. there is plenty of other live stuff to look at..
i love you reaction...this is a master piece Tuomas is a genious the Metal Mozart, Nightwish is amazing band...is magic music and.powerful...Floor is the Queen🤘♥️
Please please please, react to the same song but in Tampere. Good reaction!!! Next sunday they'll play here in Argentina. I'm going. I'm excited. Greettings!!! Sorry for my English
I feel your pain about missing them in Toronto. I was all set to see them in Lowell, MA, Pavilion Bar/Grill seating, hotel. Then I tested positive for Covid, talk about disappointment. I will try to see them in Paris at the end of November. Take care
Both versions are fantastic, but Tampere is more epic for me. Because of... maybe you will do the other version, too. 😂😂😂 And you really really have to react to EPICA. Not only to Sancta Terra 😁
The animal noises - all three of them are making them, including Floor. Also Emppu is still doing that thing with the horns. He did it in the recent concert.
Cool, the Wembley Version. Dont missunderstand me, Tampere is awesome too. But here, with Richard Dawkins himself. A the new one, when they ends with Ad Astra . A Masterpiece is a Masterpiece.
@@playagain963 he does that from time to time I noticed. He add a riff from Eddie Vanhalen in another song too. You havd have to listen hard to hear it though.
Another difference in versions is that, at Wrmbley, the opening has Troy playing a guitar w an ebow. At Tampere, he plays one of his whistles. Totally different sound. And I think Floor contributes to the animal sounds (I could be wrong)...we know she can growl! Those Charles Darwin quotes are moving as all heck! I cry every single time.
Yep. This version has our boy Troy imitating the awesome cello part in the beginning using an electric guitar with an e-bow. Sneaky, eh? There isn't a bad version of this song. Thanks for the walk through Endless Forms!
Have you listened to Evergrey they are a Swedish Metal Band Tom has a great voice he also does is also in a Duo called Silent Skies they released a Album this year called NECTAR and Evergrey New Album out Friday Both worth a listen and reaction
Play Again. The Tampere version is way better that the Wembley version. You must check it. The Wembley version only is better at the end with the real Richard Dawkins live. Check the Tampere one and you will see all the differences. Nightwish Army soldier here.
OPUS PERFECTUM * Now you might be ready, if your condition allows it, to check out : "The Greatest Show On Earth" live at Tampere 2015 🇫🇮... With lyrics to sink in the message best possible way...
Hey Play, it might be Emppu - the one who just can't conceal how delighted he feels about playing great songs to many, many people with his mates - you (as many of us do) love. Troy is pretty cuddly and lovable as well, though.
Do the Tampere version and after that check The Reunion of Floor's class of The Rock Academy in Tilburg czcams.com/video/B3NIfu0qvtg/video.html. with some footage pre and after the Tampere concert.
You should also see Tampere, it's a different experience than this one. The girl crying and praying to Dawkins always cringes me out, so I usually don't watch that far, lol.
Of cource Tampere version. It's spectaculor🤘🤘Buy the way,I was in Wembley😉

I do hope you do the Tampere version as well and watch it till the very end of the credits

Definitely check Tampere version. The band put in an extra €30k to perform one song.
Excellent,,, absolutely brilliant, Wembley gets 10/10 ,, perfect..... but Tampere is even better... u need to do it , (soon) ...
YESSSSSSSSSSSS, fantastic absolutly great you did the live one, wembly is good but ohhhhhh the tampre was unbelievble
Yup, our man should check the Tampere lyrics version.
Tampere rules (even - dare I say - with the GLS version!) 🤘
Both Wembley and Tampere are great, Wembley has Richard Dawkins in person, but Tampere has another bonus / surpise that I am not going to tell you about, because that would spoil the fun. But you should definitively check out the Tampere version also...
Even if you dont react to it, you NEED to watch the Tampere version, all the way to the end.
When you get time go look at the 20 minute Tampere version. There are some big differences.
Visually this is good, but wait when you see Tampere version...
Musically, this is like a studio version, Tampere has so much more!
Its a masterpiece from a genius composer performed by a band of virtuosos on top form.
Yes, Nightwish always live 👍. For this one check out the Tampere live!
Tampere= HOME🇫🇮.
You need to do the Tampere version while you're at it. You will understand why
At TAMPERE
You have to do the Tampere version next, you'll find out why!!!!!!!!!!
I was gonna comment the same. Tampere version is the best .
@@sarisalmi7972 They are both the best. Just different

As amazing as this Wembley version is, the Tampere version might be even better. Check it out.
Musically the Wembley version is better. The Tampere version has fireworks. That's it.

I agree! What an album. It’s my favorite by a long shot.
Pure magic, but Tampere is still better, if that is even possible..!!
Now see if you like this version or Tempere better. Tampere doesn’t have Dawkins in person, but it has everything else x10.
Try the Tampere, Finland 2015 live show.
It would seem that the consensus here is you should watch the Tampere version. The production is just beyond belief.
Thanks dude! This is great but you must also watch Tampere live!!! You do not know what you will miss😍😗😙😙😘😍😀😁😄
Of course you need to see Tampere version. I need to see you seeing it
🤘😁🤘
Only difinitive till you witness Tempere.
Love your reaction, and yes they are so good, love NW🤘🇫🇮
I find in the Wembley version Troy,'s guitare playing in the beginning beautifull❤
Tampere version of this song is on another level!

Maybe now we can get another video reaction of poets of the fall ^^
We Were Here! These words mean everything. And not only am I here , I’m lucky enough to be here at the same time as Nightwish.. forever grateful
You HAVE TO react to the live version of Alpenglow! It's beautiful! (both Wembley and Mexico versions)
It's not just this song you don't forget. In 2018 I saw Nightwish in Oberhausen, Germany. I will never forget the whole concert Greetings from Germany.
This album is glorious, this song is extraordinary, this performance was magnificent.
Glad you took the journey through this album.
Saw 'em do it live in a small venue in NYC a couple weeks ago- stripped down, it was still life-changing in person
I was there. :)

It took me a few times listening to this before I actually understood it all. So much to take in. A masterpiece.
You NEED to do the Tampere next. I'm very interested on your reaction to the intro where Troy plays one of his wind instruments instead of his ebow

Sorry, I love the Wembley-Version, but this Was the wrong desicion, don't know if I write it right, but Tampere is outstanding

It’s Sandstorm by Darude at the end there
