      it keeps the shirt from being stiff and hard when you stretch the shirt after printing si the fibers get softer and it reduces cracking. There is still polymer being transferred to the shirt

    Hello. Thanks so much for this video. I have an off-brand now, but am looking into the Geo DK20 (16x20). 2 questions, please. 1-Was this the one you had prior to this one? How did you like for heat consistency? and 2-Is the jetPro Stretch transfer paper you're using for Dark or light fabric? I believe most folks like the dark because you can also use on light. Thanks so much for answering and the video.

    • @ladyprintboss
      @ladyprintboss  Před 3 lety +1

      Hello, Yes I also have the DK20 and it is a beast! The Geo Knight is known as the Cadillac of heat presses and heats up perfectly. I use get pro soft stretch for light transfers and a different one for dark colors. Dark transfers are overlays and dont have the longivity of a light heat transfer which is not an overlay. Try both and go with what works for you.

      @@ladyprintboss ooh...okay. I had never heard that the light far outlasts the dark transfer. Exceedingly helpful and thanks for the reply about the DK20. You have BOTH? Okay...okay...doing lots of order then? Nice!! Looking to do some postings on Shopify(I do totes) and then maybe apparel...tough knowing how many of what sizes to order (S-M-L-Xl-XXL, etc.). I don't want to wait UNTIL they order and then have to wait for provider to take and then ship shirts and then press and then send to clients. But...perhaps that's how things go?? Thanks so much for your time and reply. I shall keep 👀!! 😊😊👍🏾👍🏾

    I purchased one and it is shipped to me, waiting for it’s delivery. I couldn’t find any air compressor suggestions or videos. Can i use smaller and more quite compressor? And does it have to stay 20 seconds to transfer? My current setting for regular heat press is 335 degree with 10seconds for heat transfer vinyl. I was hoping to get faster transfer time

      An automatic press won't decrease the time you press but it will speed up production because you won't get tired

    What kind of heat press is that? I am just starting out and there are so many models but expensive, and to be honest I don't want to break the bank. Do you have any suggestions?

    • @ladyprintboss
      @ladyprintboss  Před 3 lety +2

      In this video I am printing on the Geo Knight Dk20SP it is considered a mid-commercial press. I choose it because I have back issues and wanted an auto press that closes and opens.
      The press with compressor set me back $3000and thats alot for a press but i love it for my needs now. I dont love everything but 80% is great. You can get a heat press for as low as $150 just depends on your needs. Things to take into acccount are ease of use, size of the press shouls be larger than the paper you are printing. I dont recommend anything under 15x15 but work toward 16x20. Clamp shells give off heat in your face. Swingaways don't. Ill do a comaprisin video for you today. Stay tuned

      I'm this video I amdoing heat press work so no stencil is needed. What I do is design my art in a design program. I prefer Coreldraw. I have tons of videos covering Corel on this channel. Corel is expensive but you csn do a mpnthlu subscription for about $25 a month or you can download silhouette studio and design graphics there for heat pressing. I also have a few videos on that on the channel also. Silhouette studio has a free version..so start there. Once you design your graphic you will need transfer paper to print it on..then you just heat apply it to your shirt.
      There are several ways to create T-shirt art. The wsy I explained is chest transfer method. I also do screen printing and that is when you need to create a stencil.
      Thanks for asking.
