It’s my favorite lego set ever. It was actually the set that got me back into lego after almost ten years. Ever since I picked it up last year I’ve been absolutely hooked on lego Star Wars. Thanks Ryan :)

Before I had 3 41st clones and one Speeder driver clone from saleucami so the 501st clones were a great additional my pitiful collection

Fault on the company for ignoring and starving their customers.
This is legos fault not ours it’s they’re decision unless they’re planning something but if lego does stop making battle packs we pressured them into making the 501st battle packs so we can pressure them into making battle packs again

Was just at the Disney springs LEGO store and most Star Wars sets were sold out except the 501st battle pack, so I feel like everyone owns one now.

This is the first set I’ve purchased since I was 13 (26 now - married and 2 babies). I wanted something fun for May the 4th so I bought this set for me and my wife to build together.
I have to say the experience of building a lego together was amazing (she loved it!)
The Clones are my favorite - especially the 501st (OG Battlefront II was my life). Owning 501st troopers in Lego has brought this old joy to me that I first felt when I built my 2004 Millen Falcon at age 9.
I say all of this to say that the magic of building legos doesn’t seem to fade with age. I can’t wait to build all my old sets with my sons, as well as new ones that they want. So happy Lego put out this set. Floods of childhood memories in such a short build! I hope we see the 212th someday! Love the content dude - Boston Strong ✊🏻
Wow, one year since every lego star wars fan freaked out. Incredible, just incredible.
The only reason I feel comfortable buying multiple (I think I have 4 now) for 24 bucks is because you absolute geniuses on the internet have come up with all kinds of crazy alternate builds for the set.

Me and my brother were done with Lego for like the past 4 years. We were at Walmart grocery shopping and decided to look at the Lego section because we hadn't looked at Lego in a while. We saw this and instantly bought it. This got us back into Lego. Thank you MNR

Fun fact: the Jet troopers were actually shown earlier than season 7. There was a scene of them with Captain Rex a season or two earlier

It took 14 months for me to ever see that set in person. I finally got it, since I didn't know when lego would retire it.
I remember eating lunch on my back porch doing nothing because of quarantine and getting the Twitter and CZcams notification and spit out my food
It was so sad when I had 30 bucks to spend and was also getting a gift for my friend when I noticed it. 5 stocked battlepacks straight in front of me. I had to stay true to my creed and instead of getting it I used half of the money to get the gift.

Some may not agree with this, and yes it does show my age, but I kinda wish Lego would go back to the minifigure packs they used to make in the 90’s. You used to get a pack of 4 to 6 mini figures from a theme, say Space or Castle, which had figures from different factions from that theme.
No builds just minifigs which as a kid were perfect for bulking up one of your other sets with extra characters and for adults who want to army build it would work too.
So in modern terms the closest would be the Mandalorian or Bennys Space Squad packs which were figures with a small bike/cart.
It's been such a long time feels like it got announced yesterday but it was a year.

LEGO needs to respect their fans more. Give us a variety of sets from many eras of Star Wars and don’t try to overcharge us, thats all I want.
Let me tell you a clone legion is 9216 clones so if someone wants to make the legion you need to buy 2304 battle backs which actually is the same number of clones in a regiment
tbh I only just found out about this but at least lego actually made this, which was a surprise for me, and now I need one.
I never thought Lego would exploit us this way. They made a brilliant set, but in the end it wasn’t what we asked for. We asked for a normal £12 battle pack. They gave us four of the best minifigures ever made for Lego Star Wars, two oversized builds which are accurate but filled with stud shooters and two decent minifigures that cost very little for Lego to insert. For double the price. I would much rather have had Lego make a normal sized battle pack with the same 501st minifigures and the same builds but minifig scale.

When I was looking at some of my 501st troopers today I realized one was a really big miss print! One of the clone troopers had a really pale blue in comparison to the others and looks almost like a turquoise blue.😂😂😂
Miscolored prints are really rare and valuable, definitely hold on to that!

Pretty cool getting a retrospective view on how this set came about. Agreed, a little distasteful of Lego to overcharge their fans for this set based on what was asked for. However, the set is good and it’s still a decent way to build an army. The pieces can be used in a lot of MOC builds, so there’s that.
Here in Greece they don't sell lots of 501st battle packs so I have only one 501st battle pack and it is one from my all time favourite Lego sets.

It had over double the pieces of a regular Battle Pack and it has 2 extra figures, why is everyone complaining that it’s double the price?
I think the issue is that people were asking for a 501st Battle pack which should be about 15 dollars. However Lego knew there would be huge demand for this set and so instead of making a 15 dollar battle pack they made a 30 dollar set. I think the value of the set is fine. The issue is that they made the set bigger to make more money rather than please the fans. Lego is of course a business though and like any business they need to make money, so it is understandable.

I'ma say it loud, I dont agree. The builds are oversized but are SIGNIFICANTLY larger than battlepack builds, and the set should be valued for what it is AKA 2 brick built vehicles plus some great figs! Saying adding lego parts doesnt cost anything is complete nonsense, and I understand why lego would have wanted the 501st set to be like that. Not at all activision capitalism trying to get more money IMO

This set is retired alr but yesterday I went to my Exchange (bc I live on a military installation) I found 3 of these 501st packs on clearance for 15 bucks a piece. Along with that was the duel in the Mandolore Throne room with Maul and Ashoka was on clearance for 10 bucks.

I recently bought this pack about 2 weeks ago, I like it and it was my introduction to the new sets as I haven't bought any legos for years. I'm glad to be back
I was Christmas shopping for my nephew when I saw this set. I had stopped collecting Lego overall, other than occasionally buying from combat brick. I bought the set in an instant and went back after Christmas to buy another one and the AAT set. My army is now 10 battle packs strong 😎

They should NEVER retire Sets, except maybe Like the 20th Anniversary sets, like come on, they have been retiring set WAY Too soon within the past 5-6 years, I believe, if they are EVER going to retire A set, it's should be at least 10-11 years old, unless it's very popular and highly sought after...but even then......

Funny thing was how the 501st battle pack was released on my birthday, but around like 6th grade my lego obsession went away sorta but it comes back here and there and I’m still like debating if I wanna buy it.
Lego didnt lable this as a 'Battle Pack', maybe as an excuse for the differences in price and size between it and normal battle packs
