Because I need to leave a good part of the 5x8 floor of my camper open to sit down and care for my dog special needs dog, I wanted a bed that was a bit on the smaller side. I bought an inexpensive cot from Walmart that is 8 inches off the floor (so I can store things underneath). I use a Hest Foamy mattress on top, which insulates at about the R-9 level. This bed is incredibly kind to my sore joints--much better than my bed at home. I can't recommend Hest highly enough. I think they are better than Xped.

Two things can ruin a camping trip quicker than anything else. Bad food and bad sleep. Both of which you can control. Don’t skimp on either of these things and you’ll have a fun camping trip. I have a 10 inch twin memory foam mattress in my Coolcamp. Sheets, comforter and two feather pillows. My camp bed is more comfortable than my bed at home. Thanks for the video. Great as always.
