Further proof that Foo Fighters are one of The Greatest Bands of All-Time.
Dave will always get that musical pass and credibility because he was in one of the most influential bands ever next to Beatles and Led Zeppelin. I love the Foo Fighters. There's a ton of good music if you look hard but these guys bring it. I don't know about now but when it's all said and done they might be top 10 all time. Top 20 for sure

In an interview with Rolling Stone about the song, Grohl had this to say:
I wrote the song towards the end of the album process. We thought we had finished the album and we had a two-week break. I thought to myself, “I got one more song in me, I got one more song in me.” I was laying down in the grass, looking up at the night sky in Hawaii, and I was reminded of this Neil DeGrasse Tyson video that I had watched called, “The Most Astounding Fact”. And I’ve always been a sky-watcher since I was a kid. I’ve always just stared at the sky and waited for a sign. And so I wrote the song “The Sky is a Neighborhood” based on that.
It basically talks about the atoms that comprise life on Earth and make up the human body are traceable to the beginnings of our universe. Stars that go unstable and collapse and explode and just scatter their guts, their fundamental ingredients of life are all over the universe and forming solar systems and stars orbiting planets have the ingredients for life itself. And when you look up at the night sky, you realize that you’re not only part of the universe, but the universe is part of us. It really moves me.

Apart from the fact that he also deals with science here, I believe artists make song based on their beliefs, thoughts and emotions. So basically what he's saying doesn't make no sense. Art comes from life as we, human beings, are part of the Universe.
I love how each member kind of brings there own style to the band, clothing wise, personality wise, music wise. Just an incredible band with so much diversity. RIP Brother, you're in a better place.

The band is awesome, and i love the drummer, but see my comment above about the first Foo album. Dave did the whole thing himself: wrote every song, played every instrument, sang the vocals, mixed and produced it, then, finally, when he was ready to tour it, he hired the band. I think they've improved, and grown since then, but Dave is still a major talent. Check his bio- he works with other major bands all the time. I said it above: he's a real rock star.

For those of you that don't know, the name Foo Fighters comes from World War 2. Pilots created the name after seeing UFOs and light orbs during their recon runs and battles.
I assume this is the reason for the album with the spheres connected, and the alien disintegrator and also this video with the alien referencing and the orbs.
This year of 2023 is also The Year of the Orb, and suddenly UFO & Orb sightings have gone up 500% this year already.

I remember hearing this song for the first time... it was nearly midnight, me and my grandfather were in Wal-Mart looking for a new speaker. I saw a set of headphones on the rack and I put them on out of curiosity, pressing the play button. This song came on at full volume and I was just swept away by the music. My grandfather came over and tapped me on my shoulder, and when I turned around to look at him he said I had the biggest grin 🤣 I was 11 when this happened and I've never looked at music the same since

Dear Dave and Crew…
I finally got to see you guys perform last weekend at the "Inning's Festival” in my hometown of Tempe. It was my first time seeing you and the band live, after countless videos of concerts, live streams, and interviews. At 55 years old, I’m your target audience as you mentioned during the show, and you delivered the goods. Your live performance is something that is truly remarkable and the amount of energy and preparation, interactions with the audience, and great play list is something that all fans should try to see. Sorry for the lack of participation for all those in the front, but know that those of us with GA tickets in the back were standing on sandbags to see, dancing, singing at the top of our lungs, and jumping (…starting a tiny mosh pit, remembering that we not in our 20’s but in our 50’s). Thanks again and we hope you all stay healthy and safe for a long time, till we get to see you again. -Chris
