It can be tricky when you and your parents don’t see eye to eye, but just remember that your parents do have a form of reality in their mind. It definitely isn’t the easiest career path, but since your young you do have a lot of time ahead of you. Sometimes you can even have a better advantage by being young. I don’t know if you live in or near LA but I’d consider watching my video about if you should move to LA or not. If you really want to have a true talent for acting and a complete blueprint with step by step instructions on how to pursue acting/this industry, then I’d highly consider my *10 Hour Acting Masterclass* ( the-actors-academy.teachable.com ). The only thing that is required from you is a drive to learn and practicing what is given to you. No knowledge is good if you don’t implement it into your work, so you’d have to commit to actually practicing. The course was made so you can work at your own time from anywhere. Face your fierce by maybe reading about them. It's a first step. You take control, take that fear and, by starting to read about it, you take it off from that pedestal, right?
I watch all of your videos and this one is the best. Thanks buddy. Keep up the nice work. All your videos are so helpful and not many people have these insights, especially about auditions. Most people teach acting and character building which is important but there are so many other things that go into getting shortlisted at an audition.

I started theater when i was 11 and i have been in two school plays as not exactly leads but not background characters either and now I'm 12 and going for a movie lead! If i were you, start now with studying and booking rolls and just go with your gut! Good luck and i believe in you!

This is my exact situation. My parents are 100% supportive but my confidence is laughable.
I heard a while back on another acting advice page. You have to want it more than you are willing to be afraid. If your mum says you’re a really good actor, my bet is that you love to do it. So remind yourself everyday that “I love acting. I want this more than I want to be shy” & go for it. From doing things that scare you, you become more confident♥️ x
