Not sure if it's something that you'd like the look of, but have some fuel tanks on the back in whatever fashion you'd want and then run fuel lines to you existing ones so when you're running low you've got an extra 5-10litres, depending on preference, so you feel safer getting to the next fuel stop. It's something I've seen on a few touring bikes and I've been looking into them for my own Street Bob
First off Great Videos , I bought a street bob 2 weeks ago and really do love the look and ride of the bike , with that being said I don't think its worth the money to do the tank mod. I like the mods you have done to your bike already ! I would keep it the way you have it.
Every time I look at the tank capacity, I envy the low rider tank But then again, this new tank size is like a Sportster.... looks like a big brother when I park along with the Iron's and 48's
If you really want a bigger tank look at a 2017 Breakout tank will give you 5 gal and already had no gauges on it might need some custom brackets to fit but prob look the best anyway but yours still looks good so just do more engine work instead
How's it going. Im about to go order the cap from harley. My question is going through the comments I've seen a few different part# in this. Which # is it? Also im in america would your # be different than mine? Thanks in advance..
Gabriel Fernandez yep I’ve seen a few with different larger Softail tanks. It’s doable but the cost is up there. You need new fuel pump and if you go with the analogue display you need all the wiring re done for that. On top of spray job and fitting costs. 🤘
Hay brother its Dave from Detroit again. Don't change the tank. Pull off the logo. It looks brilliant. And gives the tank a much bigger look. I swear. If enclose a pic. But I'm a techtard. Cheers
David ReinholdII yeah I’ve been thinking of de-badging it for a while!? I’ve photoshopped my bike and it looks pretty good. I can’t really justify all that money for a bigger tank, when the bike looks great as is 😝
True. And all the other Bull that comes with it. It looks great. Also custom dynamics bullet turn indicators. It completely murders out the bike. Cheers...
SBV can you please clarify which part # is correct for the flush mount cap on one of yor videos its 63134-10A & this one 63140-10A which is it? Or does it make a diffrence?
Hey buddy its 63140-10A not sure what the difference is. I ordered it from my dealer and when it arrived they checked it on the bike before I gave them my money. Id do the same if i were you. 🤘🤘but this part fits mine 👌
Save the cash! Not sure there is much of an upside to that mod. Money could certainly be better spent honestly. But my rule is and will always be "your bike, your rules!" Ride safe!
CreedX360 yeah I prefer the look for sure....if you buy one, make sure to clean around the fill hole before applying the sticky back ring. Mine popped off after a couple days so had to re-glue it 👌
@@StreetBobberVlogger I'm thinking about getting the 2019 denim red street bob although I'm concerned that if the denim paint ever fades if might look pink. The red looks killer though against all the black!
moises echenique yeah it fine, no problems at gas stations? The only problem is because the top of the tank is curved the self adhesive ring tents to wanna pop off at the handlebar side. I’ve re-glued mine with 3M double sided tape👌Akther than that all good 🤘
@@StreetBobberVlogger okay thanks for the info and thanks for this channel. But yes one review stated it was a pain to twist off and a hassle at the pump 🤷♂️

george millard thanks man I think they are wise words! Enjoy the new bike 🤘

Wiseman II 😂 yeah it’s definitely a Sportster on steroids 🤘
Flush mount cap looks great love that clean look . Gonna have to get one now thanks "
Ron Wissinger yes do it 👊😎🤘
Risers look slightly too tall for that fairing. Everything else is amazing!
Keep the tank champ. The bike looks fine. 👍
SckippyDee thanks! Yes the overwhelming consensus seems to be “keep the tank” . Just booked the Stage 2 in 😅🤘
A Fat Bob tank would be better since they both use the same gauges.
Can you do a video on the passenger peg support bracket specifically the left side ?
Wait for the 2019 bikes to come out
when will it be annoucned ?
OrmeJeffrey end of August, I believe the 22nd
I would want a tank from the FXDR....

patman wainwright didn’t think of the break out!! Yeah you are right though, think I’ll stick to engine upgrades!
Great video bud! Could you share the part number for the fuel cap please?
George Michael thanks man it’s 63140-10A
The 2018 street bob and breakout are the same tanks correct? If so this cap should fit a BO tank
I like the idea, but it can wait. If you still want it after a year or so then just do it.

James Haynes hey man...yeah there has been some confusion but you need the #63140/10A 🤘 It will be the same in the states 👌
Get a metal 20l portable tank and side mount kit. Bingo Scotland to Cornwall in one fill up!
A bit excessive but i like your idea! :)
What about suspension upgrades? Or You could do the rear shock extension from Bung king to lift the back end a bit.
It is happening at some point for sure! Think i might do the bung king on the rear and get some longer forks! But Stage 2 is next...all booked in ;)
I've seen a 2018 fat boy tank on a 2018 breakout

Yup pricey

StreetBobberVlogger nice. The visability is awesome. Ill keep watching. You keep making them.

QU13TM4N yeah you are right not much point better things to spend the money on 👌 Stage 2 is getting done very soon🤘
I think the flush gas cap is a must! Looks so much better!

@@StreetBobberVlogger my bad boss, how do you like it so far ? Is it a hassle to pump gas, I've read on some reviews.
