Plati, a small uninhabited island between Pserimos and Kalymnos, near Kos. Several companies offers trips to this islands as part of an island jumping excursion - mainly from Kos.
Plati is surrrounded by crystal clear water, the picturesque scenery is completed by a small chapel/church and an abandoned villa.

seeing this type of geology always fills me with a weird feeling of nostalgia. the half dead vegetation withered by the unrelenting sun, the unmistakable color of the soil and rock formations...im from Naples but when i was a kid (due to some problems) i had to go live with my aunt (who married a sicilian) in sicily for a few weeks. it looked just like this. desolate, dead, feeling like you stepped into another millenium (like how i always imagined those islands people got sent to as punishment in ancient greek epics must have felt like). all you could hear was the cicadas. it filled me with a weird sense of dread but also a sense of serenity at the same time. didnt help that the few people there were very weird and spoke a strange language.... this brings back some very poignant and melancholy feelings that i havent thought about in decades...
