32 साल पहले कश्मीरी पंडितों को कश्मीर से भागने के लिए मजबूर किया गया था। उनके दर्द पर बनी फिल्म 'कश्मीर फाइल्स' की चर्चा आज पार्लियामेट में हुई। विधानसभाओं में फिल्म का मुद्दा उठा। सबसे ज्यादा कॉन्ट्रोवर्सी तब हुई। जब केरल कांग्रेस ने ट्वीट किया। कि कश्मीर में जितने पंडित मारे गए। उससे ज्यादा मुसलमान मारे गए। इस बात पर फिल्म को सपोर्ट करने वाले भड़क गए। कांग्रेस को ट्वीट डिलीट करना पड़ा। असल में देश भर में जहां जहां लोग इस फिल्म को देखने जा रहे हैं। उनके रिएक्शन बहुत इमोशनल है। पिक्चर हॉल में भारत माता की जय के नारे लग रहे हैं।

Me and my wife watched “The Kashmir Files” in a Fremont, CA theatre on 12 March 2022. I held back my tears, but my heart seemed heavy as if “not breathing” throughout. 3 hours seemed like 1.5 hours! I had 1st hand live experience of two sets of Kashmiri victims in the theatre after the movie ended. (1) Senior ‘K’ woman sitting in front of me kept crying loudly. People gathered. I was told that her father-in-law’s (?) eyes were taken out and he was one of those who were hung on the tree trunk-scene (2) Two elderly ‘R’ women sitting next to me were petrified. She told me that her uncle’s daughter-in-law was a victim(s?) of the ‘blood soaked rice’ scene….. It makes me feel ashamed sometimes, of our softness and tolerance, defined under the banner of “spiritual hindu pride”. All Indians owe a must watch “truth” (it is not a movie; acting not critical; no grading required). Mr. Agnihotri with his exceptional team made you “feel the Kashmiri pain” and suffering of the innocent victims! …..
