    _'His appreciation of Mozart was a hideous fib, in his eyes you're only suitable for a sordid encounter in a dark cinema. Where he secretly desires to take diabolical liberties with your knees'._
    ...might just be the most well written satirical line ever, it was certainly the most well delivered!

    If you do some reading about 19th century society, you'll find that the attitudes being lampooned in these clips are directly descended from the Victorian era. I remember reading a biography of a 19th century French woman who had taken up painting. Her family had called in an "expert" of some sort who insisted that the only way she could ever find herself a husband (as if that was the only thing she should wish for in life) would be for her to give up her life's passion and conform to society's expectations.
    She did actually find herself a husband though, without giving up her dreams.

    @2:00 Both men and women need each other and a family to make their lives complete. Sure, we can live alone and survive, but that's not the way it was meant to be. That's why 90% of the songs ever made (by men or women) are about love in some form or fashion.

  • @carlhartwell7978
    @carlhartwell7978 Před 2 lety +2

    I am glad that you're taking a somewhat 'perverse' (certainly with regards to modernity) stance on relationships. Men need women and women need men...but more so, 'a' woman needs 'a' man and 'a' man needs 'a' woman. It's not rocket science. And also that very typically a woman 'far more' craves 'a family'...it's not exactly rocket science either, it's kind of 'ordained' by nature. The woman has most to lose when becoming a mother, she needs to keep the 'door' shut to sex far more than the man. She is the gatekeeper. The man in his part has different responsibilities...I'm not going to write an essay though! Most of this is ingrained into all of us...only Post Modernists want to ignore it all...but you're not one! Clearly!
    _Shock horror, not only is there 'a' definition for 'Man' and 'Woman'... but also they are DIFFERENT!_
    This Skit is is very funny but, I'm not even sure what the typical G-Zer would even make of it...The 'thing' Enfield is 'taking the piss out of' seems quite out of the wheel-house of most Gen-Zer's. I think. But I don't know, I'm just a random X-er.
