I love people doing different/ingenious stuff. But I also love legendary racers. So I'm split between the Golf 4x4 Turbo and the 935. Mind you, they're all good really!
You "stole" what I was going to write! 😄🤣 935 has an absolutely wonderful sound! The engine is not controlled by a lot of computers that control and it is allowed to go high up in the register. Then there is Judd with a power roar on every straight line
OMG Roger's EVO is so spicy lol. We need to start some hillclimb events here in the States because this seems like it'd be so much fun. So many amazing mountain roads here in the northeast we could use as well. Just seems like such a vibrant community in Europe for hillclimb, kinda like the drifting scene here but about speed not style.
We do have quite a lot of hillclimbs around the country here. There are still 6-7 hillclimbs we run annually in the PNW through the Northwest Hillclimb Association (see my page for videos of one that I race and help organize in Emmett, ID) as well as Knox Mountain in British Columbia. There is also quite a lot of hillclimbs run in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and I’m sure other states on the East Coast. Colorado has the infamous Pikes Peak, in addition to a badass series they run primarily on dirt roads. And then there’s the incredible Mt. Washington Hillclimb as well…. For some reason, Pikes Peak and Mt. Washington are the only two that get any real attention though.

@@skylined5534 -Errrr.... All Carrera GT's are gentle in comparison. The Widowmaker was an absolute |"all or nothing" monster that even scared me. I've built/modified some extreme cars but a 930 straight out-of -the-factory?

@@th-pw8pn Errrr... Years ago, I nearly bought a 3.0l to restore. (Yes! a 3-litre!) and obviously Ferdie thought 3.0l was too girlie. IIRC; the original 930 (rhd) had a narrower front "passenger" seat because it was a lighter, barely-disguised balls-out race car. If you ever get the chance, look under the bonnet/hood/whatevs of an original 930. It was the first time I'd ever seen a real"space saver" tyre. Someone had worked out that a SS tyre & compressor was lighter than a "proper" spare tyre. You might suspect that I'm a bit of a petrolhead. I'm soo sad that I nearly bought an (unsaleable) Ford RS200 when GroupB was in its heyday. Reliant/Bean Engineering built stuff like the roofs..... One of my heroes was/is Michèle Mouton. She could make a swb Quattro dance. If you ever win the lottery; go look at at a 4WS Mitsubishi Galant.....

man , that first Porsche sounded tame as hell for what it looked like, not the biggest slant nose fan but with that wide / aero kit looks pretty good, just sounded quiet as all hell
That Civic's an interesting one. 2.7l is a big displacement for a 4 banger and it's still able to rev that high and make that power. Really impressive engine work.
The Porsche at the start, you could be forgiven for thinking it's just touring around as it sounds so relaxed and then you actually watch it whip around a corner and disappear and realise how quickly it really is going!
Do Reto Meisel and Karl Schagerl ever go up against each other? Don't remember seeing them in the same hillclimb before (probably have done but don't remember) would be fascinating to see
Another very good compilation of breathtaking pure motorsport perfectly served with amazing view and sound !!! In my opinion, Hillclimb Drivers are harder than the Rest ! First a massive thank you for all the videos you have uploaded and continue to upload. If you have answered this somewhere else then it's entirety my fault for not finding it, but, under transmission would it actually be possible for you state what specification/type/brand of gearbox each car uses? Thank you!
Thanks for enjoying our clips, there´s plenty more to come ;) Abou the transmission info, we have replied to it in the past but it comes down to how open a lot of the Teams are regarding disclosing the info. Some prefer to keep it secret so we have to respect that, and given, we would end up wit a scnario where we would fill the Transmission info slot for some cars while others it would just just be N/A. For the sake of consistecy we decided to keep it as simple as possible. Hopefully in the future we can chage that ;)
