Promoe (Mårten Edh, born Nils Mårten Ed, 28 April 1976) is a Swedish rapper, and member of Swedish hip hop group Looptroop Rockers, formed in Västerås, Sweden, 1992. He released his fourth album in 2009 entitled Kråksången, and later the same year followed up with the mixtape Bondfångeri. Promoe has a background of graffiti-writing and many of his songs deal with graffiti.
Grew up listening to Promoe, been years since I've tuned in.. all i gotta say, Damn I had good taste in music as a kid :)

I love this song, I've been listening to it for years. I recently came to faith in Jesus Christ after being a lifelong atheist and now this song sounds different to me. This is what an honest view of life gives you without Jesus Christ. You see the brokenness of the world but you don't know what to do about it besides try to give yourself some comfort through doing what you love. But it's never quite enough, he says he wants to "find out what the truth is" and it turns out that Jesus Christ is the truth. The Bible accurately describes this brokenness, that Promoe is observing about current events happening thousands of years after the Bible was written. I think Jesus would want us to interpret his word ourselves rather than by a religious leader.
