    Great review! Many useful explanations, I consider buying one (actually like the colour a lot 😉).

      Glad it was helpful! Although it's not for me, it is a great bag

    Great video. Many thanks. FYI - the latest version also has an upgraded (much better) system to adjust for torso length.

      Hope you enjoy it! I just like a tougher bag, but these are pretty good for the price.

    Nice review, have you attached anything from the straps at the bottom like a tent, heard that the straps were flimsy, I really like the look of this but looking to carry my tent outside the rucksack

    • @dogdadoutdoors
      @dogdadoutdoors  Před rokem

      I haven't, the straps seem fine on my model, but looking at some of the reviews on the latest model it does look like that has been updated and it doesn't look as good unfortunately.

    great video love the honesty and i agree i dont want to worry if its gonna fail and it most likely wont but a lot of modern materials dont inspire confidence and thats more me and what im used to using thanks for a great review

    1 sub for the "generously proportioned" part 😂 good review -- I opted for the MT900

    I suppose the question you have to ask yourself is that you'd trust an osprey bag going out to somewhere like the himalaya but would you trust a decathlon bag?

    • @dogdadoutdoors
      @dogdadoutdoors  Před 8 měsíci

      I wouldn't trust ether to be honest, The stitching on the Decathlon is good, its just the materials. The osprey is only 210D Nylon too. I understand that is to reduce the weight but when I want durable I always go to 600D Nylon as they use in the issue kit. If it can withstand military wear and tear, its good enough for me.
      I know lots of people find it absolutely fine, I just prefer a tougher rucksack I don't need to worry about.

    I have never heard a person reviews a hardcore trekking rucksack for the sake of DOG.

    Good review. But I didn't really understand the cons you mentioned.

    • @dogdadoutdoors
      @dogdadoutdoors  Před rokem +3

      The con's are really that the bag doesn't feel me with confidence that it is robust and will handle rough use. I have had no issues with it, but it just feels a little light and flimsy. The rest is just down to personal style and preference. Its a good bag, its just perhaps not a good bag for me! The only real issue I have is that the internal frame, used to give stability to the bag digs into my waistband on my trousers and pushes them down, other than that I would have to look really hard for errors.

    • @prasadpappu23
      @prasadpappu23 Před rokem +1

      @@dogdadoutdoors Thanks for clarifying your views. Could you adjust the height of shoulder straps so that the frame won't mess up with your trouser?

    • @dogdadoutdoors
      @dogdadoutdoors  Před rokem +2

      @@prasadpappu23 You can adjust the shoulder straps and back length, but the hip belt really does need to sit on your hip in order to transfer the weight from your back and shoulders down to your legs.

      @@dogdadoutdoors Oh yes. That's correct. I'll check the backpack at the store and then decide. Seems like the best in my budget. Thanks

      @@dogdadoutdoors What's your take on Tatonka 45+10 ?

  • @stevew585
    @stevew585 Před rokem +4

    I have the new version of this Rucksack and love it, however, there is one thing on the new version I find ridiculous and cant stand. The bottom straps are not like yours, they are pathetically flimsy and cant hold the weight of a tent. Lucky for me I store me tent inside the rucksack. As much as I love everything else about it, I wouldn't buy it again for this reason.

      That's a shame. They are so full featured, its jus the odd thing here and there.

      Bought myself a Mt 50 plus 10 air and I can put a tarp and the OEX Phoxx 1 V2 tent on those straps and it works great.

    Hello, greeteings from Poland. 🙂 Great review, many features presented, pros and cons indicated. I am expecting now (maybe today?) to receive that backpack in "used but very good" condition.😉 It is brown, so maybe will be more useful in forest/nature.
