I only knew him from seeing him on tv. I fell in love when I heard his voice. I wish that whatever pain he was going through could be relieved. I will remember him always.

I met him when he was still playing Simba on Broadway. He was so nice and gracious and gentle to the fans waiting outside the stage door. I will always remember him as such an amazingly talented and still such a kind soul
Being such a huge fan of broadway, it doesn't happen very often that an original cast member remains my favorite, but I have yet to hear or see someone do as amazing a job as Jason Raize. I just learned tonight (how I didn't know, before this, is beyond me), that Jason took his life in 2004. I wish, as I am sure many do, that he understood what an incredible inspiration he is to so many aspiring actors, singers, dancers, and entertainers. What an incredible talent. Today, February 3, 2024 marks 20 years since Jason's death. It's a shame he decided to take his own life too soon. I don't judge him, he had his reasons and we must respect that, I just hope he now is in a better place and at peace. Always remembered never forgotten. Rest in peace Jason Raize Rothenberg.

Right now I want to dedicate this song to Michael Jackson. The lyrics in this song are exactly the things that I would say to him and how I am feeling right now. I am going to make a dedication short film for him, but not right now. It still hurts to much. I can't hold it together long enough to put anything together. It makes me want to cry by just posting this comment about him.

Well sadly, he is in hell. The reason is since Jason committed suicide and the Bible states that if you commit suicide you are not only committing suicide but you are also betraying Jesus as did Judas where he committed suicide after he betrayed Jesus. It’s heartbreaking.

I did the national tour of superstar with jason back in 95. we were very close, had a little falling out. lost touch. I'm straight, he wanted more. i dont knoiw. it was just such a crazy time. but we were really good friends. good friends. we just lost touch. I just found out about his death and am very very very out of body about it. all the times we had. if anyone can find me comfort. just ...i dont know....

Jason Raize has an amazing talent it is sad he died. But you know you just have to ask why.
Just why would Jason committed suicide, he had a future ahead of him. He had a lovely voice and he is the perfect simba. He will always be simba in the lion king.
He didn't commit suicide the government killed him just like they're killing off a lot of other people and getting away with it.

@silverback808 Probably. but the truth is, Jason was adopted so he never knew what his ethnicity was, that's why he doesn't label himself. I actually think that's one of the things that's beautiful about him.
