BB said that basically Maye needs work. Which is true.
Bill had critique of every prospect almost like that’s what the job entailed

Maye worst in the pocket since he had worse offensive line and thus worse pockets. Look at the pass protection for the other QB's.
From listening to Bill, it sounds to me like we absolutely, one hundred percent, just drafted Mac Jones again. Yay. Go Pats.🙄
I LOVE that Bill doesn’t like him. Bill’s track record at evaluating 1st round talent is horrendous at best! Anyone STUPID enough to pick N’Keal Harry over AJ Brown, Debo Samuel, AND DK Metcalf shouldn’t have an opinion on the NFL draft! Not to mention selecting Sony Michel over DJ Moore and Isaiah Wynn over LAMAR JACKSON! Love how jovial and warm Bill was too! He was here for 24 years, and 💩 all over us!
Bill passed on Metcalf twice!!! He allowed Seattle to come ahead of him and snag Metcalf. The idiot was too proud and had his stubborn attitude about people that he couldn't see Metcalf's talent. Patriots could have had both AJ Brown and Metcalf...or Deebo and Metcalf. Crazy poor choices by BB.
BB loved JJ and not so much Maye. BB wants consistency and short-mid term passes without making risky plays.
Bill loves the check downs and throwing behind the line of scrimmage that KILLED teams 20 years ago because linebackers were all 250-270 and couldn’t run guys down. That doesn’t work in todays NFL where linebacker have the speed and size of safeties from 20 years ago. Part of Bill’s downfall, his inability to see how the league had changed to stop him!

@@scaps2200 This isn’t a 1 year rebuild, more like 2-3! If they can come out of this draft with a good QB and either a tackle or WR, then it’s a home run draft. I’m excited they’re swinging for the fences! You have too to speed the rebuild up. I’d rather the high ceiling a few mechanical issues and a monster arm over the low ceiling low floor safe pick! I’d rather see the swing and miss, because it’s more exciting! Sorry Maye is more exciting than McCarthy. McCarthy is an I formation play action bootleg guy. We had that the past three years, and it sucked! Get the gun slinger, at least that’ll be exciting even if it fails!

We all know know how great Bill was at drafting. He probably would have drafted a corner in the 1st round. So glad he's gone.
its not like he drafted some of the greatest players to ever play at their positions, won 6 super bowls and dominated the league for 20+ plus years

Is this Bill B who drafted a QB in round one (Mac Jones) two/three years ago then went out and brought in a defensive coordinator to guide him through his sophomore season? Hmm, maybe he should not be giving draft advice. Brady was not his pick either, I believe he came highly recommended from someone else and he just gave it Brady a hail mary in the 6th round. Gronk was a good pick of his, Wilfork too, but I am not a big fan of Brill's draft opinion. It seems to me he missed way more than he hit. We are where we are right now because he whiffed so much in the draft these last four years. Personally, I think he should have stuck with Stidham instead of trading for Newton and just dealt the year. He then could have drafted high the year after, or discovered Stidham was the guy. I am so glad BB is gone. However, I am not confident in Mayo. It seems we have a weak HC issue right now. It seems to me that Wolf is the alpha male in the organization right now and I wonder how that is going to go. I bet the real choice was between Wolf and BB and Kraft finally chose Wolf.

Honestly if Bill doesn't like him as an offensive prospect it makes me feel better about the pick. If we'd taken a corner and bill didn't like it, it'd be a whole different story
