They wouldn't be so bad if the blue protective film wasn't such a bitch to remove. I swear there's some dude in a factory in China laughing his ass off knowing he's making someone down the line have a bad day.

@@BenTheBuilder guys in my region who have been doing it longer spray it with citrus air freshener and let it sit while building the base, I finally tried it that way a few times and it does seem to help. Still hate them, regardless.
