I'm Scottish and I'd like to say despite how naturally gifted he is, he isn't the most intellegent of wingers, but for love of watching attacking rugby, he's one of the best in the world.

2:37 South Africa had pinned Scotland back on their try line for most of the opening 15 minutes; DVDM made that break, Scotland got a penalty a phase or two later and it was 3-0. His ability to get you out of trouble is amazing.

Nowhere near Penaud. Penaud knows how to defend and kick the ball, he's the full package. Duhan ain't. He's the size of a house but somehow is poor in defense I don't get it.
Poor tackle technique led to 2 tries v Ireland.

Not entirely. SA have too many headaches at Wing already, he'd be in the top 5 but not top 3.
I can't speak for all South Africans, but personally I am glad we don't have him. In this year's 6N alone, Ireland scored 3 tries and England scored 2, all through him. We pride ourselves on our defence and he just seems to always be found wanting; only three clips of tackles in an 8 minute video and two of those three were bog standard tackles that any player at this level simply has to do. Makazole, Cheslin, Canaan, Sbu, Kurt-Lee *all* have a better work rate and when you consider that the leading try scorer from last year's URC (Leolin Zas) is not good enough to make the squad then you start to understand how far down the list Duhan would end up. Great player with ball in hand, but that is only ever going to be half the game..
Nah, I'm sure some Saffas are disappointed he left, but I'm glad for his sake. He simply would not have enjoyed the same success here, we have so many talented outside backs. Still very proud of him and wish him plenty of success.

@@deboradlamini4683 If he had to play for SA and the players giving him support , i do believe he was going to be the best at wing for SA , Just remember the reason all the wings play good in the springbok side is the good ball they get from the rest of the team players. Go and have a look SA struggles to break the lines , Duhan can do it all, lets just be honest and face it , the White boy is gooood!!!

He's great in attack but he Cant defend
Ah but neither can Hansen, Penaud, Clarke. But look what he does in attack. Most defenders beaten by a distance in the 6 nations and scoring tries no other winger could.
This is just not true his try saving tackles have kept Scotland in the competition

What made it worse was the commentator. He singled out thelast tackler for going high, when four people before him attempted to go low and failed miserably

He is a one trick pony. He can be devastating but not a great footballer. I dont rate him.
Overrated . Don’t pass in crucial situations and not good a decision maker
Can't lie I think he's not that good at rug. He has almost no understanding of defense, his kicking game is poor and he's not amazing in the air. Hes like the new Chris Ashton. Every so often he makes some incredible runs, and has speed and power, but he is nothing compared to Penaud. Lowe's defense isn't perfect, but he's a beast in the air and he has a kicking game, same with Hansen.
Wouldn't put him up with them.
lowe and hansen are just above average they lucky they play in a good team and just take the overlap pass to score
