Counted the actions against the overlords 2 times and the snake attacked him first each time and if we think if tentacle manipulation like guns he would just be mag dumping, works the same with the loan sharks so it would be extremely excessive force. Adam is attempting a genicide and was the first to start so it would be self defense with no consequences because he was being attacked along with people he was defending.

The second Sir Pentious attack wouldn't be counted as self defense depending on the state because he'd already disabled his attacker. The loan shark attack also wouldn't be counted as self defense because they were all running away well before he started tearing into them.
