Minnesota played a flawed Suns team and Denver team that was a shell of themselves. Dallas played the overhyped Clippers and then the youngest team in the history of the Playoffs. Those paths weren't challenging at all.

As an OG Paul Pierce Celtics' fan, I saw a lot of Paul's interviews and knew that he had an incredibly good insight of the game.

As a Mavericks fan, I expect the Wolves will make a concerted effort to attack the paint more and pressure the Mavericks defense inside the paint. They’ll try to force them to either make defensive plays or foul. It wouldn’t surprise me if Gafford, Lively and/or Washington end up in foul trouble in the first half. I also expect the Wolves to throw various defensive strategies at Kyrie and Luka to force them out of rhythm and force the Dallas role players to make plays/shots. They’ll also make more of an effort to limit paint points for Dallas, probably leaving room for Dallas to have more open 3’s. The biggest improvement the Mavericks can make is making more 3’s. Even if they just go 10/30=33%, it will be much better than going 6/25=24%.

I hesitantly picked Dallas to win this series in 6. But I think its such a small margin for error for either team that either team can win in 6 or 7. Either team can win on the road, but this game 2 is huge for Minnesota. Its really hard to lose the first 2 at home then win 4 of 5 with 3 on the road. If Dallas wins tonite, I think Dallas will end this series in 5 or 6 games.

It is incomprehensible to me that they constantly portray Gobert as the problem. Do they never check the stats? I know the +/- stat doesn't explain everything, but Gobert has been the Wolves player with the best +/- record by far throughout the playoffs, it's not even close.

As a Mavs fan it’s really irritating when “analysts” just blatant skip over stats. Dallas was outscored by 36pts in 3 pointers and we still managed to win. Now imagine what happens if we actually make our shots like we normally do & you don’t get outlier games from McDaniels, Reid, Anderson.

Ant needs to stop shooting 3s and assert his dominance in the paint. He shot 12 in game 1 (even though he made 5). Minnesota is a big, physical team and they need to get in the paint. Switch matchups on kyrie instead of just guarding him 1 on 1 and lock the mavs down.
He cant get into the paint. If Gobert is out there, then Gafford or lively can just park in the paint, cause Rudy isnt taking any jump shots. Plus PJ and DJJ are extremely athletic and can bother shots in the paint. The Mavs have a really good defense.
When will you realize that Ant is not a dominant player? He can only dominate against average to bad defenses.
