@@LauraPerez-oz2hw I never got into Zoyalai. Zoya never really grows from the mean girl persona - she fully admitted to bullying Genya and other people she deemed lower than her but doesn't stop. She contiued to be mean to palace staff and others.
Nik also never received any consequence or backlash for being the one that actually hid the King's crimes. It's been going around to re-read chapter 7 of Ruin and Rising. And I was shocked that Nikolai was the one who ordered for the King to get no trial, covered up for the king, and offered to gift more girls for the King if the king agreed to give Nik the letter of resignation.

Ben is the perfect casting for Darkling! Watched this for him tbh. Didn't expect such intense chemistry with Jessie 🌒🖤
Ben's acting are always intense when it comes to filming 'chemistry'! Like in Narnia: Prince Caspian, he gave the exact same intense look to Anna Popplewell to create that chemistry! Honestly, because of Ben, most of his characters are shipable
I think the show just might decide to leave out or change some of the Darkling's more despicable choices in the second book, like blinding Baghra & killing Grisha. Then, it's possible to set up a redemption arc for the Darkling. And Alina is already obsessed about acquiring all of Morazova's amplifiers and the power they will give her. Also, Alina didn't seem to see living in the country as her endgame. Since film and books are different media, I, for one, have no trouble accepting two totally different stories, as long as any changes make sense and uphold the world-building of the author.

I mean I think it depends on whether they're doing a faithful adaptation or if its just loosely based on the books (like say the vampire diaries). But its probably the former and this is just to keep the fanbase watching until the end. Then again a lot adaptations slightly switch the ending so they could just kill Mal instead. . . .

She literally went around taking pictures of hot models fancasting them as the Darkling. She also brought him back and wrote two more books with him in it plus a prequel so readers could sympathize with him. That’s not the behavior of someone who hates him.

Netflix you have the power to change that God awful ending Leigh gave us and make it interesting! The majority of viewers want darklina endgame! You have 2 amazing actors with the kind of chemistry that we haven't seen in an on screen couple in years! There are so many possibilities and potential! Especially after the way Ben portrayed the darkling and made him more human. We have never gotten a good enemies to lovers story and darklina can easily pull lovers to enemies to potential allies to lovers again!! We're tired of the same thing where the woman chooses the boring life with her friend and basically retires and gives up her powers. Give us some spice damn it!!
