  • Calculate It First Look - we've seen two calculator puzzle games on this channel, those could not have prepared me any better for the calculator roguelike game! There's 20 puzzle rounds, but in between each round, I can buy upgrades and new buttons for my calculator. Will I have enough buttons remaining at the end to win?

    As someone who does a lot of low level programming, modulo is obscenely underrated as an operator. And if you're doing division already, it's literally free since the modulo comes with the division. You can do a lot more with MOD than you would think.

    my only issue with this game is that there don't seem to be "builds" like in a normal roguelike. there isn't a ton of synergy between different buttons, it seems like you just want to take as much variety as you can to have the most options. Feels like it makes the strategy of every run pretty much the same, but I haven't played it so can't say for sure

    • @onyxowl70

      Certainly needs something like jokers from Balatro or relics from Slay the Spire.
      Would be cool if, for example, one relic could make Fibonacci numbers free in the shop, or another makes the first number inputted each round squared.
      Also, there should be an inventory limit where you can only have up to ~15 total numbers/operators/functions at once to force the player to choose what they deem most useful.

    • @Gelatinocyte2
      @Gelatinocyte2 Před měsícem +8

      I got an idea: instead of having just one Need number, there could be a choice of multiple Need numbers, each leading to a certain "environment" (once completed) whose shop only sells certain kinds of buttons and the proceeding Need challenge requiring certain process/math functions to complete.

      @alexstewart9592 Před měsícem +2

      There are a couple of special cases where dividing by zero is allowed, like in graph-related calculus, but that is because the special cases have outside fators that force it to be a single sensible and defined result (for graph-related calculus, dividing 0 by 0 is allowed in specific situations when working with the numbers that represent the rate of change of a graph, because converting them to represting the value of the graph itself instead of actually doing the division causes you to (usually) no longer be dividing by zero).
