- I played a song for each letter of the alphabet in alphabetical order. I chose classical pieces that had names that began with each letter. It was hard to find songs with names that started with X, Y, and Z!

It is Für Elise, but it’s original name was Bagatelle No 25. This composition was made für Elise, in English meaning for Elise, and that’s how it got its name

Your channel inspired me to start trying to play classical music. I was an ok pianist before but I wasn’t interested. Now I’ve progressed so much and memorize every classical piece I have because I play them so much. I just upgraded my books and have already started with FurElise. Anyways I always watch these videos to find the next piece I want to play.

Have anyone realised that he is playing a simplified version of Beethoven's Turkish march? The actual version requires parallel 3rds down 4 notes for the ones that he replaced with single notes. I know because I am practising that piece now.
Can't blame him though, this piece is extremely hard, and is FTCL standard, the highest attainment possible in music schools.

"Joy to the World" reminds me of a great way to demonstrate to somebody the importance of rhythm in music. On the piano (or anything), just slowly and evenly play a complete descending major scale. Then play the same scale with the Joy to the World rhythm. It will amaze the listener how much it comes alive. As the same notes suddenly make "Joy to the World".
