  • In this video we are going through the stages of rooting katuk all the way up to transplanting into the garden.
I bought my katuk cuttings on ebay. In fact I have bought them twice on ebay and both times had success.

I got 6 cuttings from Etsy two weeks ago and just shoved them into a pot that I only use for cuttings. They have rooted nicely and all have lots of leaves already time to transplant now. These things grow quickly 💜 happy growing 💜

Huh... That's the exact opposite of how I make cuttings. I cut the bottom flat and the top at an angle. The angle is to keep water from sitting on it and causing "Whatever", I think people think the angle is to make it easier to stick in the dirt... Which, of course, it does, so logic does apply to some extent. 🤠👍 Time to harvest some 🌿Katuk!

    What they taste like

Tastes a little like spinach (the leaves) the fruit that grows on them looks and sort of tastes like peas. The stalk (green tender top part) is almost like asparagus. Very mild tasting (all) and in my experience, it roots easily. Once you have a few plants, you will get very caviler about it and just stick them in the ground and grunt at them. I think the more you just ignore them, the better they root, except for watering, water consistency is the trick I think.
