i just watched this and then fried an egg. thank you.
Suggestions? Temperature? Seasoning? I find enameled cast iron pans to be the hardest media to fry eggs.
I recommend using the heat setting 6 out of 9 on the stove. Let the pan reach the right temperature before putting your egg into the pan. When the butter stops making sounds, it's time to add the egg.
@@cruciblecookware thank you. Similar to stainless. I normally don't use enough heat for either. No problems with carbon or cast on 3 or 4. And just started doing butter, let the moisture steam off.
@@cruciblecookware How long did you preheat it for?
@@Bosnia123 You can feel with your hand that it's hot (a few minutes to make sure the heat is spread across the pan, extra important when making pancakes), then you add the butter and wait until the sound of the melted butter has stopped, then it's time to add the egg. Eggs only need heat setting 5 out of 9.
@@cruciblecookware Thanks!
Is this pan pfoas free?
