Best V2 review I’ve seen by far in CZcams.

After three GSs, the last the 1250GSA, I wanted something lower. Test rode the V2S and loved it, such a great bike to ride and so I ordered one, should be here in the next month😆. It’s an upright sport tourer which is what I was looking for, I don’t need 150hp or 250+ kg in weight, the power/weight ratio is perfect for road riding.

Currently owning a Z1000SX but the wife is complaining about the lack of topcase on the bike. No combination of side panniers and topcase is possible for that model.
So I'm looking of getting a new bike. Most of the top adventure bikes are too high for me, I'm rather a short rider :-)
The ones left on the shortlist are the R 1250 GS and the Multistrada V2S ... So i'm wondering how you experience the V2S in comparison with the R 1250 GS

Like you, I went from 3x R1200 GSA and chose V2S as my replacement. My main reasons are:
      - the height of the seat. I'm 5'7" and both my feet are nice and flat with the V2S.
      - My desire to put the brakes on the horsepower race. Who needs +150 hp today?
      - once you try the Ducati engine/gearbox combination, you can't appreciate the R1250's farm mechanics any more.
      - the weight of the bike is very limited.
      - it's very subjective but I love the Testastretta 11° engine and its lovely noise.
PS: I also tried the V4S and I didn't keep it because it's way too powerful, it consumes +/- 8 liters/100 km, its price which is quite high.

Tried the tiger 900, the mv turismo veloce, and this V2. Within 10 minutes of test ride I had decided on the V2s. Ordered in March, gotta wait till July 😭😭

I bought this motorcycle almost blindly, just based only on information available on the internet, will go and pick it up soon. I really hope I will not regret it xD

One of the other interesting things about this bike as a two-up touring bike (I read) is the payload of 230 kgs, higher than that of any other adv bike.

I got a 950S from 2020 and loving it. No problems of 1 to 2 and Quick Shifter needed to get used to do it especially up. Tested the following; Moto Guzzi V85TT (if only it had 10/15 ponies more), MTS V4 (a dream but of budget), GS1250 really low CoG, and the HD PanAmerica a good bike but it felt inferior to the rest.

Makes you realise what an amazingly accomplished & all round excellent bike the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce is. Seriously overlooked but there’s nothing close in the tall, tarmac only, sports tourer/all rounder segment. It’s a brilliant city bike, lighter and faster than this on the twisties, bigger tank, better range, better power delivery, better luggage etc etc. More expensive too but low mileage examples are a great opportunity.
