Man the new lvl up animations are insane. And I love the fact that they are not reworking the old ones, it makes me nostalgic when I see them. LoR is such a great game

Uses celestial magic (Targon) is closely connected to Mordekaiser (Noxus) but has spooky glowy eyes so is placed in Shadow Isles I guess
Well to be fair we have been needing a shadow isles spell caster champ for a while

@@Ultrakill_tryharder yep, he turned evil because Mordekaiser did some evil magic torture stuff on Veigar, so now he’s imitating the Iron Revenant to take over the world himself. Unfortunately for our diminutive friend, he still has a hefty chunk of his nice side when he was a normal Yordle, so his plans don’t really do much, and many times actually help the people he’s “conquering,” as long as they at least pretend to fear him. He is very powerful, though.

@@championchrome5452 People really underestimate Yordles just because they're Yordles, like: it makes me chuckle thinking that someone out there is genuinely convinced that deadass regular humans like Lucian, Zed, Vi or Akali can square up to Veigar. Little guy's basically got the pocket edition version of Aurelion Sol's powers, almost nobody could match him if he was actually aware of how to use them for "true" evil.

The minions have always had lore, it just got outdated when Riot shifted away form the concept of Summoners and the actual League of Legends- they are just animated cloth dummies.

I think thematically it’s similar to how Darius has 10 attack and OVERWHELM (even that is questionable though cuz Darius is super dated). If the Nexus health in LOR parallels a champion health bar in League then Veigar’s Darkness takes huge chunks of it out with each spell cast.

I LOVE IT. They updated his look and gave him AMAZING new voicelines but kept that awkwardly evil personality of his. It’s all I could have hoped for!
Still waiting for ASU in LoL, but I doubt that'll happen, Ahri got one because she's well, Ahri and everyone plays her.
Veigar is nowhere nearly as popular as Lux, Ahri or other similar champs to be reworked :c he still has pizza feet.
One cool fact to note is that Scott McNeil, Veigar's current voice actor, also voiced Voltar from League of Super Evil, a fun little cartoon about a comedic supervillain and his minions who always fail to be evil, even when they try. The man's got a knack for playing small and angry over-the-top villains!
