ReflashTeam RSX 3 inch exhaust is better for power in every case I've seen it used vs 2 1/2
wrong, 3 inch if you have boost 2.5 is more than enough for bolt ons and tune

Hey man, could you help me figure out why when I tried to put in a new radio, it all went black so I tried to put the stock radio back in and it won’t work and the key fob will not lock my doors or hatch. Neither will it unlock them. I’ve pulled the fuses under the steering wheel and they are all fine.
Thats pretty weird man. Was your previous radio poem to your specific car? Cause these units have a code from Acura, without it, they won't work. this is ensure people dont steal them

What’s does a I/H/E with k pro or Hondata base rsx make? Also what can I do to make my shiter smoother or more crisp?
Honestly hp number vary so much I wouldn't be able to tell you. It also depends on the supporting mods, installing a kpro without any mods won't get you good gains. Base model RSX with bolt ons and a tune could hit 145-160 who maybe more or less, depending on many factors like engine health, type of dunk etc. As for how to make your shifter smoother, try getting hybrid racing shifter cables, maybe a short shifter like a Buddy Club like mine if you're on a budget or a Hybrid Racing Billet Aluminium one if you have the extra cash. Also maybe changing out the shifter bushings could help a little.

Hey man so my rsx's steering wheel starts to shake at around 50 mph. Do you think itll be a balancing issue?
It could very well be a balancing issue
I'm new to these Honda engines but do you need to tune it for mostly all the small mods like intakes and exhaust like you gotta do with most turboed jdm sport cars?
Oh Pulse i wouldnt say you need tune for every little bolt on, but once you start getting into aftermarket intake manifolds and more serious hp then yes a tune is a must!

Think of it like this.... if you change a part to increase airflow and you don’t tell the ecu, then it doesn’t know what to do with extra air flow which could make it run lean/rich. Always follow a mod with a tune otherwise there’s no point.
My first mod is always new motor mounts. Hasport or innovative mounts.

Well I have Ktuner so, im more inclined on telling you to get Ktuner, but Hondata Kpro is also a good choice lol. Its mostly preference and budget

There's a lot of people who do this kind of work. Just try your local shops or even craigslist. Some people do crap jobs however so if it seems too good of a price, maybe the work done isn't of good quality. Over here I see them for sale all the time on Facebook groups too

In your experience do mods really actually improve speed on a base automatic rsx non type S? I have been researching for awhile now and it seems to be 50/50 on if it actually works but am trying to find a person i can joy ride with to test it out on theirs to see it for myself.

Is this Puerto Rico? if it is how do you keep your car safe? I wouldn’t live in PR with any Hondas or RSX cuz these cars are hot bread for theft. I lived in Puerto Rico the last time some some 26 years ago.
Wilfred Díaz Vellón yes this is Puerto Rico. Im from here. Fortunately thieves these days here on the island prefer stealing Kias and Toyotas. I am wary sometimes of where I leave my car, but you cant live with fear always, cause then you couldn't enjoy life lol. I get what you're saying, but I wouldn't say things here are that bad.

why exhaust first? you can almost nothing from that without supporting mods elsewhere. 1. Run a injen or Aem cai first. 2. solid long tube race header with the cat removed and defoulers for the 02 sensors. 3. Kpro, ktuner, or a race header reflash. 4. Rbc, rrc, intake manifold. tuned on previous software. 5. Then get an 3" exhaust.
Just in case you didn't see the whole video, the list I made is in no specific order. I just mention what I thought were the best beginner mods for an rsx. All those you mentioned are great, in my video I don't go in any specific order, just mention those i believe are the best mods to start with. Thanks for watching.

Love your videos and your RSX. I don't know if you would know, but do you know if there is a tuning program for an automatic RSX? I have an auto RSX 06 and it is my first car and I have a strong emotional tie since I've been through a lot with it, and I want to build to make her more fun to drive (i know people say it's a waste) but I'd love to know. Either way I'm thinking of doing a auto to manual swap. Any opinion you have I would appreciate!

Okay so actually there is some Ecu support for auto RSX with Ktuner the same ECU i have. You could a base map or even some tuning if you have some supporting mods. However due to the fact that its a base auto, theres not much that much that can be done currently. I truly understand emotional ties with a car, I have them with my RSX as well. My recommendation would be to at some point do a manual swap and a TypeS engine swap or a K20/K24 swap. Doing the TypeS swap will add 40-50 easily. Doing the K24 you can expect a bit more power than just TypeS swap but a lot more torque.
If you do a manual swap sometime, make sure to use a 6 speed off a TypeS, preferably a 05-06 TypeS due to the fact that its a 4.76 final drive making the gearing much more aggressive and thus adding the best bang for your buck
LeonelObbed yeah thanks so much for the response. Yeah I'm currently thinking of doing a manual swap with the type s transmission but first I want to do some supportive mods and repair a few parts before I go and do something big like the swap. But thanks for the response!!!
Don't knock your header to much.... I'm 32 years old and when I was coming up in b series swapped Hondas DC Sports was the "Go to" brand for all Hondas. I run a DC Sports race header and full exhaust on my 05 TypeS. Only reason you don't hear of them alot is because their marketing has fallen off. Still great products and the exhaust system sounds amazing compared to a Skunk2 mega RR, which is very loud and raspy. Good video man, take care.

Usually, Headers, intake and exhaust go a long way as far as bolt ons for any car really :)

Ya ktuner for 05-06 for sure. Also the 02-04 need that 4.7 final drive. Its a big difference from the 4.3

EddieMerc depends on your budget. Buying directly from Hondata can be expensive. Try looking at your local classifieds and see if you can source a used one for cheaper

Get an 02-04 Type S, 05/06 are type slow.
You don't mod your car for "beginners' never heard of such a technique.
Kpro should be your last mod you ever do on your rsx, requires most attention to detail.
1. FBO-(4-2-1 header(mine has 400 cell cat), q300, RBC manifold and hondata, heatshield gasket, then to a karcepts TB adapter to the STOCK prb throttlebody, on my injen air intake, I have an vibrant 6 inch velocity stack and blox 6 inch universal filter, I have an ATI crankshaft damper)This car also has a lightweight flywheel but it doesn't need it I've done researched to figure out that my car does have one. Not a good mod if you're trying to learn how to drive the car and that goes for the 2nd one on this list.
2. Ktuned CMC and slave cylinder
3.Once you have FBO its time for kpro and a dyno tune! This is where i picked up 20hp and 30torque on 93, it made 225 to the wheels.
4.(ergonmics ) ITR pedals, Leather steering wheel stitched on cover, hog ringed a new driver seat cover on.
5. TIRES, stock profile are 205s, i'm running 225's with low tire noise tread profile, what really makes fatter tires a desirable mod, would be the fact that you gain more braking power such and underrated feature by going with a square stance on stock rims.
Conclusion :
Only mods I'd put on the car would be red vinyl tail turn signal over lays, looks really clean on a wingless setup. Enough power to take on turbo cars but I've lost to 335i's and a few big turbo sti's, while still managing 50 mpg on the highway going 70 with cruise control according to the bluetooth feature on hondata v4 .
Pros/Cons
I spent roughly 3900 for the car back in February I've been just piecing together the mods, most expensive part would be the kpro and dyno tuned. I spent close to 740 on v4 prb kpro and another 550 for the tune seems reasonable now that I see the quality of the work. I bought the damper for 240, header was 200 and cat was 50 bucks spent another 110 to get it welder together about 400 bucks for the header, then i spent another 90 for velocity stack and filter, precut rbc manifold with karcepts hardware and hoses/thermal gaskets was only 200. Ktuned CMC and slave cylinder was 240.
Approx = 2400 USD + 3900 for the price of the car for 225 is a good deal IMO
However I spent more than that on things for ergonomics/ suspension including hardrace tie rods(120 + 90 dollar alignment)/ ball joints(400 includes install) and 225 tires mounting and balancing tires were 250 plus 100 installation.
6300 + 1000 = 7300
Pedals with titanium fasteners was another 100, stitched on steering wheel cover was 250 with extra padding, i bought driver and passenger seat covers i hogged ring the driver's seat because of the deterioration of the old seat they cost 250 shipped from Australia.
7300 + 600 = 7900 still a fuck ton of money.
I have saved a ton of money by finding the best deals i could even though at the end of the day it's still expensive AF.
Tim Smith Wow, aside from your opinion which is very valid. Yes there is a term for beginners. All that, that you said is one way of doing things, some people don't want to spend as much as you did, and some people just wanna do simple diy things. Thats why I titled the video for beginners. People that don't know much about RSX or cars in general. I have spent a little more than what you described in the comment and made 227 but im really happy with everything. You can do things the way you like, not everyone has to do the same. And to respond to your comment about 05-06 RSX being slow... LOL that is a true bs comment im sorry. Both cars are very similar, 05-06 have a better tranny and a better head and cams. Once again thats just your opinion!
