I used to work as a concierge in DC. Many years ago Amy Klobuchar was at a Christmas party and stopped at my desk with a pile of Christmas cards that she needed to put stamps on. I started helping her and told her I was a supporter of her work in the Senate. She gave a big smile and pulled out a Christmas card for me from an envelope and signed it. She looked at the envelope and said "I'll find another one for Senator Durbin". Class act.

Bipartisanship wouldn't be a thing if the opposition was reasonable and acted in good faith. The compromising on most of these things shouldn't be necessary if not for donors and corporate goons putting their collective fingers on the scale against the rest of us all. Bipartisanship is mostly about appealing to the people who are against common sense and honest help for those in need. It's one of the many great jokes thrust upon the people of this nation.

I mean, it is supposed to be a regular human feeling to want to help people, but I get the feeling that the very powerful or very rich aren't regular humans. @@thejinn99 It's proven that the richer people get, the more detached they become. Part of that is natural, because you start seeing anyone poorer than you with suspicion because many people do want money out of you. Then you only start associating with similarly rich people, and it becomes a bubble.
This is besides the fact that many rich people start assuming that their financial success makes them a success about anything and everything, and you get a bad combination.

Because you helped to expand the Airborne Hazards and Burn Pit Registry has finally allowed him to get a portion of the disability percentage that he deserves for one of his issues. The near entirety of people writing, and voting on the laws that affect our service members have no idea about the actual living and working conditions for us, so it takes an outsider like you to go in and let them know. These folks gave up everything, some had relatives who were killed by the Taliban and were seriously injured themselves. They were brought to military bases to be processed and waited for months to start their lives in the US, and the process to get work authorization, find housing and employment, and eventually secure their legal status is incredibly difficult. My father spent his late teens and early 20s bathing in an agent orange shower in Vietnam. He suffered the effects his whole life - which ended 24 years ago at the you age 52. I was 15, my younger brother was 10. He had kidney issues, terrible ulcers, blood clots that cause two major heart attacks and eventually the two strokes that killed him. His death and the pile of hospital bills bankrupt us and a widow and her two kids lost their home.
He always said that the only time the government would finally admit to the effect of agent orange was when most of the veterans had died off. I'm glad that it's finally coming around, but I will always be outraged that it took so long and so many men and their families had to suffer with no support.

The problem with the high speed bandwidth availability in rural areas of the US highlights that utilities and telecom should be state-owned and driven. Privatization lowers all service value to the end users of it in almost every instance.

I love this woman. She’s so strong and educated. And work so hard to get laws that helped this country past

Tim Walz is a man/person completely comfortable with the who and what he is as a man.
He sounds to me like someone that knows how to get the best deal he can, and make a friend.
2nd lady Walz I’m betting finds a friend and partner in all things edumacation, and children.

As a vet, VP Harris and Gov Walz has the same chemistry as a military General and Chief. Of course, he can work with strong women. They are the antivirius for MAGA
