i lived in Inverness when i was 20. some friends and i drove up to loch ness and found the Boleskin House. my buddy and i walked up and around the house, towards a building in the back, which was boarded up, with "beware the anteater" spray painted on it, and an old 1950s car parked in front. we thought the message was funny, but as we drew closer, a feeling of dread came over us, and we grew quiet. several large horseflies started buzzing around my eyes and mouth. my friend noticed, grabbed my arm, yelled for me to run, and we hightailed it back past the main house, down the country road to the tiny cemetery where our friends waited by the car. i remember it like it was yesterday, even though it was more than 25 years ago. i dont know what spooked us so bad, but we felt it in our souls

pretty sure that little building at 14:14 is what we were walking towards, looking at the boleskin house to our right. we climbed over the shaky old wooden fence on our way in, and knocked it down as fled on the way out

I am in the states and doubt that I could ever make the trip to see the house in person so I loved that videos of the house were posted on CZcams prior to it burning. I went to Boleskine in 1985. I didn't get to the house because there was a prominent "Keep Out" sign on the gate. I wandered around the cemetery with a young couple, who I didn't know. We all heard what sounded like a woman's scream. We looked at each other and all scampered up to the road. They drove off quickly as I made my way on foot westward on the road. I felt chased by something I couldn't see. I was going to take a piece of chipped rock from the rocky fence but decided not to and ran my ass up the road, where I found a little pub. They had Boleskine Shinny Team t-shirts for sale. Pissed me off b'cos I didn't buy one. I was fully expecting to come back and didn't.

I was taken by the name at 16.15 on the headstone - MacGillvray - the name comes from the ancient Scottish tribe of the Picts- with the personal name 'servant of judgement '.. The name is similar to the headstone name on the Beatles - video from the Yellow Submarine film - Eleanor Rigby- William McMillen- when you connect the Beatles interest with Crowley- 2nd from top left on the Sgt. Pepper cover-combined with the Paul is dead clues- you get what seems to be a strange connection- with spellings of Mac and Mc apparently my own ancestry comes from the William Wallace bloodline in Scotland which is difficult to totally verify-- many prominent people come down from that bloodline - which includes Crowley- and William Campbell - who by the Urban Legend replaced the biological Paul in 1966- interesting these connections with the name either Mac- or Mc- these surnames are connected many times by the changing of vowels- Paul's spelling of his last name is spelled McCartney - which is 9 letters- number 9 always shows up in Beatles songs- there has to be a connection here - which makes for interesting research.

From what we could see the property was for let from about 1860 onwards and they were looking for leases of a year or more.
In 1905 in a newspaper called "The Field" the property was listed as a fishing residence for rent for the fishing season or longer.
It was managed by James Ross and Boyd of Inverness.
This and the reference to the sale in some other documentation that we looked at led us to believe that the property was open to offers at some point.

As a huge Zep fan and someone who was once interested in the occult and Mr Crowley myself and some friends had a first look at Boleskine house about thirty years ago. I wanted to show a girlfriend it years later one summer. The minor road that passes by was very overgrown so the house wasn't easily visible. I remember though just feeling "its here" and stopping the car. Sure enough through the thick bushes on the right was the house with the graveyard to the left.

  • @JayKaos

"Blowing his head off..." ? There is no evidence the Major did this. Crowley himself died in a bedsit in Hastings in 1947, destitute and alone. He abandoned Boleskine without completing the Abra Melin (I completed it 30 years ago when I was 26, but that's another story) due to the stresses the sequence brings with it. The place itself has a tension, you can feel it. But then tapping into the mind is a dangerous thing, whichever method you choose... Aleister was an explorer (I would recommend his Hagriography if still in print). There are a few places in the World that when you visit you feel a, for want of a better description, a "difference"... Boleskine at sunset is one of them.

Anything negative in your thought and action is a demon. Reconciling your demons, ie controlling them, is a way to get close to your HGA. That takes work and a willingness to change... Urgh. This place really should be teared down and give it back to nature. There’s nothing but bad energy locked in these walls. Release it, give it back to nature and leave that place alone for healing itself. No need to waste any more money, time and energy in black holes like that.
