- For this video I'll be giving my thoughts a opinions about the Vagabond Viz bigs, touching on some of the controversy behind them, and doing some comparisons of the Viz bigs to the ever so sought after singles. Please enjoy
Edit: In the video I didn't really express this, and It kinda feels like I'm dissing the singles but I do prefer the singles, as well as I talk about the spines not having pictures on the first 4 volumes, but you can get them with the pictures on them and they look amazing just sometimes they are missing, it depends on the printing I believe, both great editions though.

i bought these and vol 1,3,5,7 front covers were really scratched it really annoyed me but i love vagabond its so good
That sucks! Sorry to hear that. That's why it's sometime worth it to pay more in stores for me then ordering on rs because I can exam the volumes. Glad to hear you enjoyed reading them though .
Problem is that the pages are falling apart😭
I'm still so damn afraid of buying these (although I'd love to) because it seems like every second or third person has their pages falling out or the entire book breaking in half even while claiming they were careful. I'm still so torn whether I wanna get these because if they actually break I wasted a lot of money.
Yeah, I totally understand. When I was buying these I never even knew about the paper falling out so i just bought them all and didnt have a problem. Maybe buying one or two volumes and reading them and seeing how your experience is with them wouldn't be to bad of an idea, and if you do have a bad experience you would only have wasted a little bit of money. For me it's just such a good series it's worth the risk. but if your to scared of them falling out, maybe read it online and wait for there to possibly be new Editions, or the price of singles go down if you want to collect it physically. 🤷♂️
@@oppaiduck4348 Man yea I so wanna read the series. Probably my number 1 on the must-read side of things. And I love the way the vizbigs look but it seems like the glue is a big issue for many so yea... Of course a hardcover edition releasing one day would be a dream but I doubt it's gonna happen even though it would be amazing.
@@wolfbrigade8042 I would love a hard cover! but yea I agree that its unlikely to come, at least for a long time. all I can say is that from my personal experience is that they are good quality and I didn't have a single problem with them. But I totally get why your hesitant, I just never had a problem so I don't have much to say about that side of things.
I’ve read and own the whole series. Only had #4 completely fall apart in my hands while reading. It was like a nightmare. Lmao. I just read that part online and wrapped that mfer up with Saran Wrap.
@@twelveeightyseven I've only bought the first vizbig so far but I haven't read it yet. But I've looked through it and I'm honestly amazed by the quality of the paper and the printing. If these volumes wouldn't be in danger of falling apart so easily, they'd be pretty much perfect.
I really hope they do a hardback version of this series. It deserves it.

Great vid! Why is vol. 8 so difficult to find or it's sold for over $100?! If anyone knows where I can get close to retail (I do know they're supposed to restock mid Nov. but I'm a little impatient), I'd greatly appreciate it 😀
Thanks so much! from my experience with them some of the volumes just go crazy out of stock and the price get up there sometimes. You just have to be patient or get lucky and find them on places like ebay or manga swap for a good deal. I've also sometimes found severely oos volumes at retail store like barnes and nobles and books a million you just have to get lucky, you can always look online and see if your local stores may have a couple that didn't get snatched up. @@mariet8943 manga swap is a sub reddit for buying, selling and trading manga. It's a good place to sometimes find deals I've found lots of good finds on there, just make sure if you do use it to read all the rules of the sub reddit. 😀

Yeah I don’t understand why people get worried about creasing lmao like don’t open it that wide you don’t need to open it that wide to read and see the art ofc it’s gonna crease if you do it like that don’t open it then bend the pages back behind the bill that ofc that’s gonna damage a book lmao

I saw a costumer review on Amazon he said he waited for a very long time and paid too much and received some pages folded and some of them are connected with the previous one I don’t know how tf that happened
Amazon sucks tbh. The amount of times I've bought from them a recieve heavily damaged stuff is ridiculous. The good thing about them though is there return policy and prices are usually good as well.

Will more vol come or is it finished
It's currently on hiatus but in a recent interview inoue said that he's excited to get back to work on the series or something along those lines. So it looks like more will be coming at some point most likely.
@@oppaiduck4348 no I mean is all the chapter he has written been converted to a physical manga form or there are more chapter to confirm so is vol 12 the end for now or a vol 13 is comming
@@funnyman2085 oh gotcha, vol 1-12 of the viz bigs covers 36 volumes of manga and there is 37 total, for the singles it covers 1-37. So you could get the viz bigs and vol 37 of the singles and that would cover all that's out. The singles are very expensive tho. So if your looking to read the whole series I'd just read the viz bigs and read the last volume online since it's like 200$ just for volume 37 of the singles.
