Magic thinking Palinka tryna dap him up is hilarious
It’s CUSP boss. Not CUPS.
They Wanted to Stop Lavar Because he took his son's overseas instead of letting the NBA pass them up as they due now as an Anti American League
Whatever you say about LaVar, he got his 3 sons to make it to the NBA.

exactly!! when you look at the top athletes most had fathers like a lavar.
All the antics aside over the years, there’s no denying how proud he must be of his sons.
That neighbors instrumental tho 🔥
FACTS
"i think the neighbors think im selling dope"
Where can I find the Instrumental? It perfectly captures the lessons from the vid.
Regardless of what ppl say LaVar is in his son's lives and was changing stereotypes about Black fathers
My dumbass almost questioned what u meant🤦♂️ I dunno the full story cuz all we really saw is the ridiculous shit he said, not the real parts of the interviews
Fatherhood is dope ‼️
i agree.. Lavar is what dads, regardless of race, should strive to be for their sons
@@paulocuento9949 you must have low standards for what makes a great father
@@mizzou1016 You must not be smart. All what LaVar did was marketing. He got everyone talking about him. You do know that even negative publicity is publicity, right?
Interesting how as soon as real alternatives to collegiate programs emerged for young prospects, the NCAA started changing its tune. Monopolies are the worst.
Yes but the ncaa is still the best for young players. Why? 98 percent of young guys will not make it to the nba and that education is vital and invaluable. The fact that we keep it in our urban communities heads that sports is the only way out for minorities, it's sickening.

I’ll never forget, when ESPN tried to get him in trouble with Molly. Smh lol

@@HBG313 the MeToo movement isn't inherently bad, but there are gonna be a few outlier idiots everywhere you go
They banned him from the station man. Everyone is so sensitive these days
It all started when Lavar wanted to "grind gears" with molly lol
That was whack as hell.
LaVar was predicting the future the whole time while most of us thought it sounded too good to be true
Yes
So nobody remember The Unnecessary Hate on Lavar years ago a Kristine Leahy Literally said “ he’s a embarrassment to black fathers” After he simply refused to talk to her for spreading false Narratives…. Dude has 2 sons who are NBA Athletes
Two sons flourishing in the NBA. And a son in the G-League that can be a decent NBA player. He doing something.
Most parents that believe in their children like Lavar will sound like lunatics. Remember Earl? (Tiger's father?) He sounded real crazy. He sounds real sane now when we look back.
I mean yea, when you push your child and give them all your support. They’re most likely gonna do something with their life.
@@user-ve6dw2xx8n hmm i would say most parents aren't like this. I think that takes away from how cool he is a dad. I know for sure as someone who is talented themselves and have talented friends a lot of parents are too insecure within themselves and have too many issues to preach greatness to their kid the ways he did.
Williams sisters father too.. They said he was crazy
@@taykova3511 Indeed. I actually forgot if he was like that or not. But you are 100% right. And he was right as well. The greatest sister tandem in history. Serena is the GOAT and I'm pretty sure they are top 3 of the greatest doubles players in history as well.
The evidence of Lavar's fatherhood success is the Ball Brothers' NBA achievements and their financial wealth and happiness.
All I'm saying is that the three most recognizable figures in basketball ever are probably MJ, Bron and Kobe. I'm not ranking them or anything; I'm just stating the obvious that EVERYONE knows those three. Two of them skipped college. I've never been a fan of this one and done rule. Like if a player is ready, a player is ready. Sure, you're going to get a few busts, but the whole point of the draft is that it's a gamble. If you don't want to take the risk, literally no one is making you do it.
Like sure, there are always going to be your Currys, your Lillards, your Duncans that need that time to get recognized and develop as players, but if it took KD, AD, and Zion going to College for you to realize that they were just going to waltz in and bust heads, then I really don't know what to tell you.
Even then, some guys come out of college looking like the next all time great and end up busts anyways
Kobe not top 10

That magic Johnson part had me dying 💀

The Ball bros are good boys wish them all the luck ...
I really liked what Lavar said about pressure. Dame said something like that a few years ago. Being an NBA player is hard work, but it always helps to keep things in perspective and realize the blessings in your life.
Back when Lonzo was in college, back when all the Ball family hype was at its peak, I had the same thoughts about LaVar as many other people: "He seems like an arrogant, pompous, delusional douchebag", things along those lines... But hearing his comments about real life pressure instantly earned him a lot of respect in my eyes, and this video as a whole has opened my eyes up to just how wrong I've been about him over the years.
Preach!
takes a lot to admit mistakes and shows growth to be willing to think about subjects in different perspectives. Much respect
If Ben Simmons had lavar for a dad, he'd be the Goat already.
True! I’d say LeBron big he alr the goat
He would be magic Johnson level
he is a underrated father
Damn my boy Swish didn't say "Alright, man"
It’s cause he wanted to make this video
@@vjpassos6003 beat me to the punch
Bulls fan here. Very glad we now have his son Lonzo on the team.
Lavar is a genius and a great father.
I still think College is a necessity for some players because not every top prospect has a LaVar Ball as a dad. College tends to help mature players mentally and physically as those coaches can have more of an impact on a young mans life, a more hands on approach to further shape the positives in their life while teaching them structure, responsibility, discipline and and in some cases being a father figure. People hated on LaVar because of his mouth, but his love and guidance for his sons put 2 of them in positions to excel in life, he did his job and now it's time for them to listen or not. Gelo, he fucked up in China and that's why I think he has a hard time getting success in the NBA when we all know he can ball (pun intended). He has a stigma now and that's hard to rub off. I honestly think LaVar created the JBA just for Melo to grow against older players without the pressures of College but to teach Melo actual pressures of life.
Agreed. College might not be for everybody, but some guys definitely need it.
Lavar had a vision everyone doubted him especially with the laMelo situation
When Rob wanted the phone back but Magic delivered the dap 😂😂😂
Dude really proved everyone wrong lol, I was always a ball family supporter, I remember back when they where hated

Great vid! Spot on! Mr Ball definitely did all he could to get his kids to the league! An amazing and powerful story of dedication and perseverance! They gave so many the modern day blueprint! 🙏🏾💪🏾💯
I learned a lot from watching Lavar Ball interviews and their realty show. He’s a really smart guy who gets portrayed as stupid.
Bruh that Magic clip had me rolling. He was like “yeah man we killin it this year.”
You can say whatever you want about the man but you can’t say he’s a bad father
This a great video and topic. Thank you sir for making it !
Was hyped for this since you tweeted, Swish. You a legend.

Lavar Ball sometimes the smartest in the room. ALWAYS the most confident.
Im just happy swish wanted to do this video
He definitely a loving husband and good father... Respect to that.
Kevin Garnett started the high school movement, the next act in the play that is basketball. Lavar Ball has just started act 2, and as much as he is a controversial figure, he is the man that has begun the new era of ball.
Effect millions u may not agree with the crazy guy act he puts on for reporters and tv. But what he did with his kid is amazing.
great video bro. One of the realest takes I've ever seen.
I think there could be a solid argument to get Lavar in the basketball hall of fame he really changed how young basketball players can develop
Yeah
I didn't know LaVar had that much of an influence on this topic. It was a very insightful video, and thank you for your effort of putting this together as well.
Love this!!!! Gonna share this. You said what I’ve trying to shout for a while. Lavar is good. Didn’t need the old system finally a black man is free. That’s why I m mad Lonzo didn’t fight for BBB. Challenge Nike next.

Every time I see lavar I think of that one meme
“Why are you booing me I’m right”
The National Collegiate Athletic Association has ordered a three-game suspension for each of the five college basketball players who were paid for their performances in the movie ''Hoosiers.''
Four of the five players were also asked to return the money they received for their work in the movie, and the five-member eligibility committee said it would review the fifth student's case in mid-December.
The students are Steve Hollar and Griff Mills of DePauw University; Jim Rayl Jr. of Indiana-Purdue in Fort Wayne, Ind.; Mike Ricks of Wabash College and Greg Eckstein of Rollins (Fla.) College.
They were declared ineligible by their schools because ''if you take pay for the sport in which you are participating, you are ineligible in that sport,'' said Steve Horton, an N.C.A.A. official in Mission, Kan. ''You can't use your athletic skill in a sport for pay.''
SWISHOUT really got a keeps asking while talm bout LaVar😂😭 he wrong for dat
It's so crazy that the domino effect of the Ball bros getting noticed at Chino Hills would later end up causing college athletes to be no longer exploited by the NCAA and new alternative routes for high school stars to journey towards the NBA.

Lavar knew what he was doing, and everyone clowned him for it. I’ll admit I clowned him. All of his sons are pros now. That’s something EVERY father dreams of and he deserves more credibility
Did we clown him for being a bad father or for speaking too much without much credibility?
Nah, we clowned him for both. Remember when he pull melo out of high school?

W father, this man got ridiculed and still “TOLD YOU SO”🐐
Lol I just realised that high school kids are making WAAAY better money than professional fighters in the UFC xD
Great video. LAVAR BALL changed the game. His JBA League wasn't very successful because the corporate folks made sure it failed and ran the narrative that he was crazy etc. but his idea to fight injustice especially for minorities led to major changes in college sports. Colleges n universities were treating players like slaves, many of them didn't have food to eat, etc. GOD BLESS LEVAR BALL N HIS FAMILY.
lavar ball is an outstanding father and terrific businessman. we should all be so lucky to have such a man as a father. his sons are really smart, respectful and articulate young men and a credit to their family. GO BULLS!
Gonna 100% be a movie about them in the future
