  • We've ALL heard about it, the new Cadillac CT6-V...offering luxurious comfort and exhilarating power in a convenient, easy-to-drive package. Only several hundred have been made, and sources say there won't be many more.
    Luckily, however, RoadTripCentral was given the opportunity to check one out in person, and take it for a test drive, of course. Check out our video, and let us know what you think of the CT6-V!

    First, I've watched cts v review and until now none mentioned it has rear steering, so thanks for mentioning. As for the car itself, freaking love it. That blackwing motor is the halo feature of this car. God job with this video.

    It's a shame that Cadillac dropped the CT6 from their lineup last month & that the blackwing V8 engine won't fit into the engine bay of the CT5 because I was looking forward to General Motors exporting the blackwing V8 powered Cadillac over to my country (Australia) to replace the Holden Commodore which didn't run a V8 in the last model.
    The consolation however,is the 640 horsepower supercharged Chevrolet LT4 V8 engine which will be bolted into the Cadillac CT5 as the blackwing V8 engine won't fit into the CT5's engine bay due to being a wider quad cam engine & a 90° V configuration.
    I'll push to get the V8 optioned CT5 to replace my 17 year old 300 kilowatt 5.7 litre Chevrolet LS1 V8 Holden Commodore because I'm very over the 3 litre turbocharged engine since the turbocharged Nissan sixes ended up being a dead horse that was flogged past its death,yes,Holden bolted a 150 kilowatt turbocharged 3 litre Nissan in line six in,in late 1986 into the VL Commodore,in 2008, the Chevrolet LS1 V8 engine was a welcome change to even the naturally aspirated Nissan RB30DE (twin cam) engine that I built for my VL Commodore.
    In the 1990's & 2000's I was sick to death of the insatiable appetite people had for trying to push more horsepower out of a stock Nissan RB30ET engine,the ceiling was 200 kilowatts with a front mounted intercooler & standard Garrett T3 turbocharger before bigger fuel injectors,an ECU rewrite or preferably an aftermarket ECU was used for real time tuning & a T3/T4 hybrid turbocharger was fitted then another ceiling of 300 kilowatts was hit when the 12 valve single cam cylinder head would need porting & a bigger camshaft or a 24 valve RB25 or RB26 cylinder head was needed.
    I was pissed of with being under 25 years of age meaning the insurance premiums made it cost prohibitive to buy a turbocharged Holden VL Commodore back in the late 1990's yet the people who could afford them hit boost on a wet night when driving around a bend then wrapped the car around a tree for example so the insurance premiums went up.
    So that's why I'm extremely annoyed with the turbocharged crowd in Australia (e.g. Holden VL turbo Commodore, Nissan Skyline GTS-GTR,Toyota Soarer & Toyota Supra),I'm sick to death with one of them in my area whose still getting air to water heat exchangers built for their R33 Skyline.
    So I'm sorry General Motors if I'm already pissed off with & sick and tired of your proposed 404 horsepower twin turbocharged 3 litre V6 engine which is to be fitted into the 2021 model Cadillac CT5 because all of the 500+ horsepower turbocharged 3 litre Holden VL Commodores & RB series 6 cylinder powered Nissan Skylines which were featured in Australian magazines such as street Commodores ,Street machine or fast 4's, turbos & rotarys were wanked all over then are now nothing but a saucepan now since they were put through a crusher & a metal shredder then recycled so I'm very sorry that I can't feel excited about that !

      The motor that's hand-built is very expensive and sticking to the 6.2 supercharged is massively produced in most Caddys and the corvette is cheaper 😊

    @drjhunter Před 4 lety +2

    I bought one. I traded in my 18 Porsche Cayenne in on it. My only gripe is not having massage seats and super cruise on my CT6-v vs the platinum edition. Why the hell not throw all the bells and whistles in on the V ? Dumb marketing again from Cadillac

    • @RoadTripCentral
      @RoadTripCentral  Před 4 lety +1

      I can totally relate, Leroy! I was a bit disappointed that it didn't come standard with the massaging seats...but I suppose they have plenty of reason to not have them included as a standard feature. The most recent CTS-V received quite a bit of criticism from the Cadillac fan-base because of its $85k price tag...Cadillac may have wanted to keep the base price on the CT6-V below $100k to avoid too much criticism, and those looking for more luxurious features would still be directed toward the platinum (also available with a slightly less powerful Blackwing). I hope your car makes up for it in all of the other categories, though!

    • @VertigoGTI
      @VertigoGTI Před 4 lety

      How is that marketing?

    • @lilbuddylee131
      @lilbuddylee131 Před 4 lety +1

      Leroy Truk one thing you could have done was for the updated platinum that comes with a detuned blackwing. It’s still 500hp and has all of the massage and rear entertainment options.

    • @RoadTripCentral
      @RoadTripCentral  Před 4 lety

      Hopefully not too difficult! I see what you're talking about, though. There are a few other cars on the market with the hot-v setup, too...I'm assuming it wouldn't be too much worse, but I guess Cadillac will just deal with it if they have many issues. /:

    Dear Friends!!!!! This is a very important message. Anyone who buys a new car from GENERAL Motors the chance you threw your money into the trash is very large. In this company there is no customer service, the company's management does not care at all, if you have a problem or a malfunction, you can only pray to God there is a chance that the help will come faster. GM is a very dangerous company, be careful and keep your money safe.!!!👎👎👎👎👎😬👎😬👎👎No warranty for the new car
