Watched it when it came out in 1983 (we in America got to see it before it aired on the BBC because it was real greedy :)). Still in my top Who 5 ever (10, if I have to count the 60th shows individually).

Watching now Wren , Interesting episode all Authoritarian regimes greatly Dislike music & entertainment because it opens people minds , Oliver Cromwell even banned Christmas and music back after the English Civil War between the Royalists & Puritan Parliamentarians 1642 - 1651 Oliver Cromwell was a very Naughty Man's . That's what I liked about the original Doctor Who it was like an actual History lesson, now it just all higgledy piggledy . But the Puritans way backfired biggly and made Christmas celebrations even more popular .

Depends on where it is watched. Disney+ lists the Christmas special as episode 1. Wren is New Zealand based like me, so got it from Disney+

I commented on your next video but I’ve gone back and I think that Tennant’s Doctor is still going to pop off into regeneratory mist and come out as 15 in the giggle. I think bi-generation happened bc it was in the state of play like splitting the TARDIS later on. The Doctor can’t survive it again bc its no longer possible without the state of play
I just came to say, The Maestro is played by the fabulous Jinkx Monsoon. Twice winner of Rupaul's Drag Race, actor, singer, playwright, comedian, Broadway rising star and all around weirdo. Super talented, their solo shows are amazing, witty and definitely super camp.
